At Lynn it’s stock car friendly stuff, don’t think you’ll have that problem at the EoES. He has many faults but when it comes to making a circuit smooth and even there are few better than Buster.
-
I’m sure Cook it whoever else would have had the good sense to apologise the next morning and not force the club to sack them.
-
Nobody knows how Kasper will do but MPT ought to be one of the best reserves in the league.
-
Mind that gap mate
-
I don’t think Lynn are ‘way weaker’ than anybody but humouring you for a minute do you really think they look weaker than Ipswich?
-
Have said all along sid that the spreading out of announcements is for the benefit of people who switch off from speedway in the winter months and not the likes of us who use this forum. I don’t think it had been done particularly well but can understand the theory. They could have done so much more with better planning. People who eat, drink and sleep Lynn speedway knew the team before Xmas.

Yes although we didn’t wait for it, it was known about three months ago.

I thought the release of names was Robin Brundle’s idea, could be wrong.

And the staff have to pay too!

Not entirely surprised that car parking price has been introduced eventually, expected it years ago to be honest. Doesn’t make it any more palatable though. The car parks are better than they have been but I believe the one behind the back straight will never be done with tarmac or concrete as it belongs to the council and not the stadium. When it’s muddy and full of puddles after bad weather its not really good enough for a sports venue which asks for eighteen quid to get in.

I’m all for a range of opinions as I think it’s the only way you can get a true picture of what’s going on, but unfortunately we seem to have a core of people on Lynn threads who moan about the same things day in, day out and don’t seem to recognise the good things when they happen. I’m not for a moment saying that some of the criticism isn’t justified because it absolutely is as Buster has alienated people and the promotion are far from perfect but I think the best opinions are the balanced ones rather than constantly moaning about the same stuff or as you say ‘happy clapping’. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle.

Who has the strongest top 3 riders??
Bagpuss replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Funnily enough even though my memory is pretty good I can remember very little about 1998 -
If you trawl back through the thread the three riders have been mentioned enough times.

I think you should have another go at that post to see if you can miss the point any further

Have always hated ultra top heavy sides, for me a solid team with at least one good reserve is the better way to go. -
Bored of the argument about revealing names (we know who the other three are anyway) but really good to hear that the fitness programme has been improved and that the riders are all hitting targets.... I’ve no doubt whatsoever that this contributed significantly to us punching so far above our predicted weight last season and hopefully it will again.

Because we do.

Like him or loathe him, without him owning three teams there would be no Play Offs to get into because there would be no Premiership. Whether that would be a good thing or not is up for debate. Probably no surprise though that a man spreading his money three ways hasn’t produced a particularly fancied team - not that that necessarily means anything anyway.
-
Quite agree mate, I wouldn’t start with two raw reserves but there seems to be an appetite to have three big hitting heat leaders and the subsequent departure of Berge who would have scored bucketloads at home has made the tail very long. Somerset are a club who won’t settle for not challenging so I think changes will happen once averages alter and a stronger reserve will come in somehow. Of course would much prefer the two youngsters to thrive and not need replacing.
-
Indeed, and I don’t believe it’s so great in the top league. Also it won’t be there immediately with six riders who didn’t race for the club in 2018.
-
Sheffield Glasgow Scunthorpe Eastbourne Leicester Berwick Redcar Edinburgh Somerset Newcastle Birmingham Somerset likely to make wholesale changes at some point so their position based on starting line up, but likely to finish several places higher.
-
Precisely this. He isn’t going to intentionally build a crap team which will lose home meetings and nobody will come and watch. The management obviously saw how well these riders worked together in 2018 and wanted to keep as many of them together as possible. Really like the look of Peterborough, can understand why people think Buster has splashed out on them and scrimped on Lynn but I don’t see there being too much between them come September based on the starting line ups.

I think we will see a different Kasper this year but it’s all about performances and points. Sounds obvious but if he can start getting out of the gate consistently he can be one of the best number sevens but if he not he could struggle again, nothing is guaranteed. I think riding in the Championship will help him though.

Welcome back MPT and welcome aboard Poultec.

Scott Nicholls has had a fantastic career but it is now in its twilight and he’s a rider on the way down despite all the other qualities he possesses.
