  1. As I said, he’d be the perfect politician That said I certainly don’t read anything into tonight as far as a play off meeting goes. Great to be in form though.
  2. Heat five from match two http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/_mobile/news.php?extend.35414
  3. Are you getting this rain over Lynn way? Awful morning in the Fakenham area.
  4. For me it’s pretty simple, we have had two hidings at your place this season but have won at Belle Vue and drawn at Somerset, two tracks which suit us much better. I believe we can beat the Rebels and Aces over two legs but have a much smaller chance against Poole. Therefore I believe we need to finish top, pick Belle Vue and hope that we beat them and Somerset beat Poole. Nobody is being underestimated.
  5. Not sure it makes an awful lot of difference to be honest.
  6. Spot on. We are so bad at the Dorset rollercoaster that we need to avoid that lot at all costs. Other than riding that track my main concern is the lack of points from number seven, need MPT to be on fire for the Play Offs to cover.
  7. Mr Shovlar would make a wonderful politician, fantastic at ignoring and denying negative issues and peddling propaganda to deflect attention. Definitely a missed vocation
  8. Etheridge would be on zero at Wolves and not paid nine though.
  9. Excellent result for Lynn even though they took their foot off the gas towards the end. Racing dreadful but that’s nothing to do with the Premiership, it’s the track shape.
  10. Lynn need to sort this poor gating out or they are going to get embarrassed tonight and achieve very little in the Play Offs.
  11. He came down twice in heat 9 on the first bend ie original staging and re run. All four came down the second time in which he sustained his injury.
  12. I remember the World U21 final at P’boro in 2002 or 2003 that Kujawa won, I think Hampel and Dryml also made the podium and Zagar, Hans, Freddie Eriksson and one or two others were in it (Okenowski?) with Stead and Howe representing GB.
  13. Indeed, I’ve given up with the Pink Un site and Twitter at Saturday tea time now though semmers. The moaning is way, way over the top. We are now a small fish in the Championship pond without foreign investment and people need to accept that.
  14. To be fair it’s more palatable than the frequent moaning and groaning.
  15. NBJ and Aarnio over a point lower combined Championship averages than BWD and Allen, coupled with that their relative unfamiliarity with the Poole circuit this season and it’s difficult to see how Somerset are anything other than weaker at reserve. Lawson should be well covered though by the look of it.
  16. It is but IF Worky knew and left it until last night to say anything to get an advantage that’s poor form. If they didn’t then fair enough and Lakesides error. We will probably never know. Bery best wishes to Dan Bewley.
  17. It’s a great shame mate for the lad, your club and the Play Offs. Special dispensation shouldn’t really be given but the rule needs looking at for next year. I think whoever finishes top now will pick you guys as Bewley is a huge miss at the NSS and R/R is unlikely to cover adequately.
  18. I think it would be common sense to allow injury replacement signings for riders who break bones between the cut off and the start of the play offs. This injury will diminish the quality of the last four meetings.
  19. You got a time machine People are right, Mr Ped did nowt wrong tonight but that incident and last weeks show just how disliked he is on the European circuit through his riding over the years.
  20. Have to agree, if you are fully aware that there is a good chance it will rain and you travel only for it to be rained off then there is no room for complaint IMO. Weather forecasts are never a certainty so speedway promotions will try to get meetings on if there is a chance, especially with the cut off approaching. Personally I never leave the house on race night if the forecast is dodgy, have stood on the terraces in the cold and wet watching the rain hammer down or Buster going round with the big blade far too many times.
