  1. From what it says in the SS he's going to have intensive physio rather than an op.
  2. I don't think it's odd, riders don't miss GP's unless they absolutely have to. The Pairs thingy provides a good window to have the operation.
  3. Iversen is having a shoulder operation next week.
  4. We have done well on the road this season and should be going to Rye looking for a point as a minimum. After two horrendous performances there last year we are owed a good showing especially live on telly.
  5. Precisely, they don't know you. They can only go by what is written on here and if they haven't been on the forum long or didn't know you as screamer they will form an opinion on what they have recently read. I don't think anyone's opinion is more important than anyone else's but those who are over positive or over negative will get challenged. Nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn't get personal or abusive. The bottom line is that we all care about our club and our sport otherwise we wouldn't be on here.
  6. If people continually spout negativity and stay silent when there is good stuff to comment on then they must expect to get challenged, you must accept that? I think the majority of people recognise that their are positives and negatives and comment a accordingly. It's all about balance.
  7. Whether FRN works or not it's not difficult to see why it was implemented ie double uppers not having their UK meetings clashing and originally for UK top league fixtures to not clash with meetings in other countries until the Wednesday/Thursday/Denmark mess. If it doesn't work then fair enough but at least they are trying to solve a problem which many punters had identified. And I'm not a BSPA apologist, they get plenty wrong.
  8. Why on earth would you post original tickets in this day and age
  9. There must have been a reason for Kerr not getting heat 14. Agree about being too nice, which is why it's good to read that Lambert was forceful in heats 13 & 15. When will new averages come out putting Kerr into the top five?
  10. Absolutely, he has certainly stepped up a level this year and to be scoring the points he is now in several different countries at twenty years old is excellent progress. Some people thought he should have a Michael Lee type impact at 16-18 but riders progress at different rates, doesn't make them better or worse. His fitness regime seems to be bearing fruit and this could be said for the whole team, these marginal gains including fitness, team building and the warm up/down cycles seem to squeezing a few extra % out several riders and are being reflected in results so far.
  11. Thing is we have no idea how often any of them will be missing. We have been told that Neils shouldn't miss any more but we shall see. IF Danish clashes are kept to a minimum and we are lucky with injuries then there is no reason why we can't reach the play offs and be competitive in them. Long, long way to go though. So far the team is proving a lot of people wrong, me included.
  12. Well done Craig Cook. With the exception of Howarth the Brits have all performed well this weekend, not often we've been able to say that in these types of meetings.
  13. While the three guests won't be as strong as the three riders they are replacing they are decent stand ins. I think Lynn will do very, very well to get anything or of this.
  14. We'd all (well most) like Tai to ride here but if he felt his schedule was too busy with three leagues and GP's then Britian was always the league he was going to drop. I think his results since cutting down speak for themselves.
  15. This date must have been agreed to in the knowledge that some riders might be missing? People are talking about Lynn not wanting it called off but do Belle Vue?
  16. I'd say Iversen is the must do better. Kasper is doing just fine considering his age and experience.
  17. I have to agree with this......I stand in the same place each meeting with the same group of folk but sometimes there are a couple more who join us and the night flies past because of the chat and banter. Texting updates makes a big difference too, you need a reasonable gap between races
  18. I'd go by Stars Updates on Twitter, Andrew is as accurate as anybody.
  19. I think both can be correct depending on people's expectations. Some turn up without really being bothered about who is riding, how long irlt lasts for, whether there are six overtakes or twenty six. Others will be turned off by all of those things. Don' think either viewpoint is necessarily right or wrong, but it' good that everybody can air them. It seems for every person who didn't enjoy last night or was put off going there was somebody who loved it. Each to their own at the end of the day.
  20. Shouldn't be lasting for over two hours. The cynic in me would suggest that after a slickly run first meeting food and drink takings were down Pleasantly surprised by the winning margin, assuming we can stay clear of injury this team could be dark horses for top four and beyond, great to see. Some really positive feedback from paying customers on Twitter which is pleasing, just need to tweak the PR a bit and minimise those Danish clashes and this could be a very good year.
