Agree with the above thoughts, never nice to lose but it's a starting point. None of the Aussies apart from Proctor double up over here but instead ride in Sweden and Poland regularly, maybe therein lies the difference in class. Worrall is coming back from a broken leg and Ellis & Bewley have time on their side so it's not all doom and gloom.

Can relate to this, we had the same thing in our PL days especially 2003-07 when teams couldn't get round our track smoothly because of the grip and when they did make the gate (grippy starts) they would invariably make mistakes and get picked off. Some very good sides were made to look ordinary (75-15 . against eventual champions Sheffield in 2007). Bike set up was very specific too meaning we were often way in front after half a dozen heats. Eventually it turned into a mental issue for away teams, they were beaten upon driving into the stadium, Carl Stonehewer was the most high profile rider who appeared to not want to know. And of course got a bit boring for the regular punters.

I was waiting for somebody to come out with that.....different situation as it was agreed between he and Rosco that he is rested, whereas Tungate wants to ride, Lemon wants him to ride but he is being told to attend practice by the bully boys in Poland. For the record, I've always said that Lambert should be there really but that I understand why he won't be. It's a situation which has had common sense applied to it unlike Tungate's. Any meeting where countries are being represented should take priority over practice.

But at least they tried something different. If things fail then fair enough but at least have a go.

Poole v Kings Lynn. Prem B. 1st August 2018

Who said anything about a bottomless pit? Come on fb, you are one of the decent Poole fans on here, don't start making stuff up and not reading posts properly like some of the others. -

They are the only team with the resources to keep changing riders when it's not working too. Like Man City I have no problem with that, you get rich and poor clubs in every sport but they really should be winning in every year. Massive shock (or choke) if they don't win it this year with the seven currently declared. -
Absolutely and credit to him, there will obviously be a few little set up secrets as a home rider and having such a straightforward meeting last week will have helped him settle in. Armadale has traditionally been a difficult place for away riders to score points though, that can't be denied. Especially when the home team are riding well.
-
Very difficult to go there and score points on a one off visit when home riders are so dialled in even if he used to ride there, one could argue that his score proves how tricky a circuit Armadale is. Even Cook has posted modest scores there in the past as a visitor. Just like Poole in the top division Edinburgh look to be revitalised by a couple of changes and seem to be the team to beat now.

No blinkers here, you are the one disrespectfully brushing off an experienced international rider's opinion as sour grapes when most would say he is not that kind of character. And I'm sure Poole's riders will say exactly what they are told to in a press conference You are right, I wasn't there, I wouldn't put money into your promoter's pocket if his track was the last one on earth. -

You are either on a wind up or being extremely obtuse. Niels has ridden in the UK for fifteen plus years and will have ridden Poole dozens of times, his views on the state of tracks in general not just WR should be listened to and not fobbed off as sour grapes which is nonsense. And he wasn't backtracking at all, just clarifying his comments. Unfortunately you are the same as many Poole fans in that you only care what happens at your track and to hell with the sport in the rest of the country, as long as you are winning all is good. And if anyone says anything critical it is swept under the carpet as meaningless and sour graoes. Fortunately those of us without our heads in the sand can see the bigger picture. -

It's staggering that people think riders shouldn't have opinions like his, and if they do its automatically sour grapes / being a sore loser. His point was why as a rider should he have to go to all the time and expense to not spill oil when club officials can seemingly chuck as much around as they like. -
Monmore. Wolves away and Poole at home are the two trickiest fixtures in terms of expected points IMO.
-
I reckon we can double our money with another 25 points.....got to be looking to win all of our home matches, win big twice at Leicester and then pick a point up at the two best race tracks in the league which should suit our dodgy gating.

He's got to come through Edinburgh away in one piece yet. -

Alternatively basing it on on our away record across the whole season to date we have a good chance of getting something. We have a team of racers so the NSS should suit us. -

Why not have a proper grown up discussion instead of being a tool about it? -
Poole should be docked points and fined

Does this happenat other tracks? Hilarious how so many people spectacularly missed Robert Lambert's point on Twitter. Not sure if it was lack of brain cells or an inability to read properly. -
So after last night's debacle it's on to the much more pleasant surroundings of the NSS and a track which should assist the Stars awful gating a lot more. Rumour has it that Garrity and Andersen should be returning next week and one hopes that the engine room of Proctor and Jorgensen will be fit enough to take their places. With the return fixture two days after I think four points is the minimum requirement to stay in with a shout of a top four finish.
