  1. There would be a big old rider shortage.
  2. Kasprzak is perfectly competent on small tracks, if he can be bothered.
  3. Exactly Paul. Most of the time the forum and a large number of its contributors are best taken with a large pinch of salt, especially this time of year.
  4. There will always be haters, whingers and those with agendas but Mr Chapman has done some great work this winter and the bottom line is that he has helped to save the EL (Premiership). He isn't perfect and has his faults but over 25 years he has done wonders for our club and is now starting to make his mark with the governing body too.
  5. Wouldn't disagree, but it's about encouraging as many 16-18 year olds as possible to go and charging full adult price rather than a concessionary one is less likely to do that.
  6. Met Dennis several times during Lynn's PL days and I always found him to be friendly, knowledgeable and great company. Very sad to hear of his passing. RIP.
  7. I think it's too soon for Kinsley. Maybe they are waiting to see who Belle Vue use as their number seven as Williamson would fit.
  8. I think it was Gary Hicks Henka replaced, in 1990. The Commonwealth Final takings 'theft' was 1992.
  9. Would have been Bill Barker who signed him. Loram was on lawnmowers until 1994 so really he only had one exceptional season in Lynn colours. Henka had three and always averaged more than Mark when they rode together. Remember them appearing in last heat deciders week after week at Lynn 1991-93, they were great times.
  10. Just missed out on seeing Lee in his pomp unfortunately (wasn't born till 1977) so for me the most exciting thing I've seen is Henka's three and a bit years at Lynn. Quite brilliant.
  11. I know we are sh!te ourselves right now, but that was hilarious.
  12. Nobody has said that they expect him to fail, just that he has it in his make up to be hit and miss.
  13. Difference between negativity and realism fb. KK has proved umpteen times in his career that he has two racing mindsets, sometimes we've even seen them in the same meeting. Chances are he will have a great season for you lot but there will always be that doubt about whether he can be bothered on any given day.
  14. I think you are a little bit obsessed with Gavan! He obviously gets to you In terms of the whole Aussie champs thing, I've never really taken it too seriously as an indicator of UK form a few weeks later. Riders could be testing equipment etc and their performances over a three/four round series very rarely reflect a long UK season although in this instance Sam Masters was always a likely winner.
  15. Fair enough, will put that down to different understanding of the phrase. To me 'if not' means could be. He could well be, KK is a class act at his best so would be foolish to completely rule it out. Poole is the kind of environment where he could achieve it if anywhere.
  16. Probably Martin Yeates and Steve Schofield in there somewhere?
  17. Agree with all of that (Poole ought to finish top) apart from the idea that KK might be the best number one in the league, he is going to have to have a exceptional season to outscore Doyle and / or Holder (or they will have to have bad ones).
  18. Pretty much what I was going to post, Somerset should be favourites going by GRW's logic rather than being tipped for the lower reaches. Far too much is being read into the conversions, for a change I think the BSPA have done a pretty good job.
  19. If you put the main half a dozen protagonists on ignore its much more bearable. Either that or you learn over time to filter out the sh!te by skimming over it.
  20. I liked dontforgetthefuelstapsbruv's post because he is correct and you, not for the first time, are spouting absolute nonsense.
  21. I think the idea of a wireless broadcaster is a good one, someone like Rob Butler off of Radio Naaarfolk could do a good job.
  22. I think second division racing is vital for a young rider like Josh, whether he rides for the Stars or not he must race in the Champioship for the sake of his development.
  23. Quite. With the situation in such a delicate state I can understand nothing at all being said. Hard for supporters who want to know what's going on but absolutely necessary and understandable.
