With the caveat that it's only been from seven rides, including two FX's.

Workington v Recar 04/05/24 3pm koc 2nd leg
Bagpuss replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What a difference 24 hours makes for both sides. A bit of a reality check for Workington perhaps. Well done Jason Edwards, the nicest man in speedway. -

What's the deadline for declaring a team for a meeting? -

I think I might have been standing next to you that day. Broke the track record in heat one didn't he? -
Edinburgh Vs Poole KOC 2nd leg QF 3rd May
Bagpuss replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Poole Keith obviously means other stronger leagues abroad. Boils down to ambition at the end of the day. -
We are around 2.6 points under the limit, if for example we could find an 7 ish point rider willing to come to replace MPT (a huge IF of course) it changes the side completely. But they are hardly queuing up unfortunately.

Championship Predictions 2024
Bagpuss replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
They still won't finish eighth but I think I had them top and they certainly won't be doing that either. It's the middle order where they are struggling, most thought Bailey would kick on again after last year and Knudsen has been very hit and miss, Jorgensen would have been much more reliable at 2 or 4 if fit. And of course the falls and knocks suffered by Wright & King haven't helped either. Riss would certainly help their cause but I suspect he'll end up elsewhere. -

Brennan only missed out on a max at Lynn on Thursday by a whisker and we were saying on the terraces how changing his two home tracks seems to have helped take him to the next level. There will be other factors too and he might have done the same if he was still at Glasgow and/or BV but changing a comfortable/familiar environment often works. As for Worrall he'll get it right as he's too good not to but three ain't good enough. -

You feel like Worky missed an opportunity tonight, but well done Glasgow for pulling through despite Worrall's score. Bomber like a fine wine! -

I predicted Lynn to get 40 on the podcast the other night but that was with Museilak riding and R/R for King.....think we might be lucky to get 30 in the circumstances. -
Pickering the most likely I'd have thought.
-
You are quite right, thank you. Need to remember my glasses when reading the British Speedway site and it's font Very likely to be Bomber then.
-
Like I said, realistic guests Can't see Buster paying for those.
-
Great win and Wojdylo was sensational (as was Brennan) but tje prospect of being without Museilak for 4-6 weeks is pretty depressing with such a busy time coming up. We need to go with guests, R/R just won't cut it and the best/most realistic options look to be Pickering, Douglas and Harris when available. Only Brum not riding next Thursdsy so I hope Rob spoke to Brennan before he drove away last night! Hope I'm wrong but just feels like a typical Lynn season of injuries, team changes and big away defeats.

A win! Hurrah. And a new hero.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
Bagpuss replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I mean each to their own.....I actually found it quite interesting and I'm pretty sure he's not the first rider I've heard talk about cold conditions being a challenge. Generally speaking he's a great podcast guest as he is very articulate and knowledgeable about the sport. -
I appreciate you are a parody/wind up/Lord knows what but it really wasn't.
-
Unfortunately not.
-
Dirt and grip. Or more than the BV meeting anyway.
-
I'll take any sort of win at the moment, especially having raced just once at home and that being three weeks ago.
-
King's Lynn desperately need a win to get their season up and running but this suddenly looks like a tough task after Birmingham raced to their first win last night and by the look of things will have Milik at reserve upon the averages changing. Forecast looks very good so the track needs to be exactly as the home riders want it. I predict 46-44.
-
Well done Brummies, well deserved.
-
Drama!
-
My expectations were low after the reports on here of the first home meetings but this has been very enjoyable, Brum has always been a decent race track. The Brummies have showed plenty of fight, effort and determination but ultimately are probably going to fall short in heat 15 against BV's top end power.
