  1. Well done Glasgow, really pleased for the promotion who deserve some silverware for the money and effort they have put in.
  2. I'm no Hancock fan anyway but letting paying supporters down last night and at Belle Vue is a very poor show.
  3. I think Rob has become disillusioned with the sport so good luck with that although a new challenge may what he needs.
  4. Guests aren't ideal and can make speedway look a bit silly but I can't see an alternative.
  5. Such a shame that people have to come on and snipe about the wealth of Glasgows owners when they lose. In a sport which is struggling to survive financially we need more of these people getting involved in speedway!
  6. He smashed his thigh in 2001 riding for Lynn against Oxford live on Sky in a first bend crash with Lukas Dryml.
  7. Surely the best way to test a potential new format is to actually run a meeting? The BSPA have used a bit of sense for a change.
  8. 1997. I remember watching from the home straight thinking that he might not get up.
  9. There has always been some kind of rider control / points limit for a good reason. We have chequebook speedway already and it'd be even worse with no restrictions.
  10. Absolutely. The advantage of racing round an oval track is that spectators can see everything as opposed to very little with other motorsports.
  11. Absolutely agree with your last paragraph but I wonder if you have seen a Moto 3 race over the last couple of seasons, without doubt the most entertaining form of motorsport going.
  12. Surely Schlein will be riding next year anyway so it's moot, he can line up in the PL next year. Would love to see some facts about this 'conversation' which took place between Buster & Rory as these tales usually have two sides to them, and Schlein is well known to be forthright in his opinions. As for Dale I think he has earned a crack at the TM job.
  13. Didn't say he was old at all, just that I'd prefer to see some younger faces. Would be nice to have an all teenage 1-7 who all have potential for improvement.
  14. How does anyone know who good or bad a team manager Schlein would be?
  15. Bailey Kinsley Hampshire Whitmore Then whoever is left once the stand alone clubs have had their pick to make the Starlets competitive. Nothing against Campos or Hazeldene but would be nice to see some new younger faces.
  16. Barmy to use PL averages for EDR riders, they should only have been used for the first year when there was no other barometer. What a rider did or didn't achieve after that has little resemblance on their EL status, and has massive potential for fiddling. Time this part of the system was confined to the bin.
  17. http://speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.31472 Seems not all clubs have yet declared their pairings
  18. A localish derby for us so that would be good. Had some classic tussles in the PL during the noughties and a much better track now that awful camber has gone.
  19. Interesting take on the state of the pound http://www.cityam.com/250902/dramatic-fall-sterling-cause-celebration-not-depression
  20. Been there, done that with Schlein, Batchelor & Bjerre, all have had too many knocks to mix it properly on the first bend. Time for some younger fresher faces.
