Looks a good side but how many times have we seen this from Ipswich in the PL? Ever since that first season in 2011 when on paper they had a team who should have walked the league they have underachieved. Two two pointers at reserve is a risk although I think both could do very well. Newman and Schlein are also risky for their own reasons but on paper at least this side should be up there challenging.

And breathe.

There is probably a case for having one older head per team for the others to learn from but those other six need to be under a certain age. Whether people like it or not the NL is mainly a training league to produce and develop talent for the two leagues above, and IMO it's at its most exciting when you have talented teenagers battling it out, and progressing from reserves to heatleaders (not newsreaders as my auto correct would have you believe).
-
To be fair it's only the odd one or two. Good appointment IMO, the management of the club is in good hands with good people involved, let's hope they are joined by some good riders. It's all good

Bailey. Somebody else in place of Schlein, maybe Palm Toft, Auty, Jorgensen, Douglas or Riss.
-
Hmmmm, that habit of repeating a riders christian name throughout posts is familiar.

Wolbert? No, no and thrice no.

Has Robert not signed for a Polish team?
-
That's a sentence I never thought I'd see posted on this forum.

Wow. Take a breath GRW. It's an extension of what Rob has been doing anyway, minus the team managing. Buster will still be around I'm sure and involved in decision making. Makes sense for somebody who knows the club inside out to run things for Buster. And it seems to be a direct attempt to right the wrongs of last season which can only be a good thing.

If Klindt is the other reserve then, like last year, Poole will have question marks all the way down the order apart from Newman from whom you always know what you are going to get. Looks decent enough but I wouldnt be surprised if one or two sides look better on paper. So I wouldn't go awarding them the title just yet.
-
It will be a brand new promotion, why are people comparing what they might do with what the outgoing lot actually did? Will be two completely separate entities.
-
I think he is saying that they DID follow that trend......
-
Even though Poole would end up with two number ones and other teams with none that side foreverblue has posted doesn't put the wind up me at all. Reserves look dreadful.
-
Perhaps you tried but were outbid?
-
I'm sure all Brits who have only ridden NL are two pointers.
-
He's been both in just under two years. Jekyll and Hyde.
-
Oops, that's poor planning as there are plenty of people who support both teams. However the way they are playing at the moment makes the choice an easy one
-
If announcements are being saved for a supporters evening in December then it's quite likely that riders have already been signed. 14 of 63 Elite League team spots have been filled by announced riders so far so really is too early to start flapping.
-
Absolutely, one strong reserve would be sufficient with the change in format. Have a feeling that those sides with two poor reserves will struggle.
-
I would have mixed feelings about Holder if he signed, would obviously be an excellent number one and one of the top two riders in the league, and he rides Lynn as well as anyone. However he would be taking up over 20% of the points for the whole team building and there is always that underlying suspicion that he would want to go back to his parent club in 2018 with a lower average. Whatever they do a strong reserve must be signed. Huckenbeck the most likely candidate.

No worries, no worries

Probably best to wait and see?

Was made an asset back in July but has signed for Coventry for 2017.
