He has made giant strides since joining Poole though, that can't be argued. You could argue that he would have done so at Lynn if he'd stayed and I believe he would, he is so good at the AFA that his home average would be colossal and I think finishing his U21 commitments was a large factor in his improvement when he left Lynn and certainly contributed to some of his half hearted efforts for us in 2012. As for last night I thought it was decent without being amazing, there were still plenty of FTG's. Looked early doors like the gating tarts would prosper but thankfully the racers were rewarded later on. It's a pity Hancock held up Puk for so long in his semi as I think he had found a really fast set up and with another lap would have pinched second and made the final. -
Coventry Bees V King's Lynn 25th May 2015

If Adam can ride like he did on Wednesday he could score stone decent points. Not beyond the realms of possibility that we could win this match but they would require a big upturn in form for Iversen, Porsing & Morris. -

Got to hope the Norfolk lads are both fit or this could be a massacre. -
Sheffield V Edinburgh Thursday 21st May Koc 1st Leg.

Sheffield did well to win on the night with just 5 points from their guest. Good to see Birks back among the points. Edinburgh coping well with an awfully long tail just as they did last year. -

Howarth has always been garbage at Lynn but to be fair to him he rode well tonight, I would imagine the much slicker conditions suited him better. As they did Leigh Lanham. -

Pedersen was peerless but his failure to look round for Buzz in heat 14 was poor. -
And people think football is bad for hiring and firing! Dear me.

The fact remains though that if you replace a number one rider with a three pointer for any given match it is likely to affect the crowd in a negative way. Maybe if speedway clubs were making large profits it could happen but no club can afford one or two poor attendances in the current climate.

Teamgb V. Great Britain?
Bagpuss replied to The White Knight's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Don't think it matters a fig personally. -
More important than the FTR / EDR scheme are the changes that the NL have made this year.....far less journeymen and many more rookies in that league now which is as it should be and will hopefully lead to more graduates for the PL, and then the EL and so on. Should have happened years ago.

As orion says there are no easy answers. I like the idea of a guest pool of riders who don't race over here, if enough can be encouraged to sign up to the idea it could work. I also think there are enough riders in the PL who could be part of an EL squad eg R Worrall, Kurtz, Jakobsen, Tungate, Manzares, Lindgren, Bjerre, Hansen etc etc. Somehow we need to get away from riders guesting when they already have an EL team.

Wolves V King's Lynn Monday 18th May
Bagpuss replied to Wolfsbane's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I think from seeing him last Wednesday and on Saturday, as well as last night's updates, he just isn't getting out of the gate at the moment. It's such a huge part of speedway that if you are struggling in that regard your points totals will reflect it. -

GRW123, why did you think that Worrall would struggle to match Kerr's score out of interest? Going on current PL form and the fact that SW spent a season riding for Cradley I thought there was always a good chance he would score heavily and probably do more than Lewi might have. -

We certainly gained through having Worrall at reserve and I always think a wet track hinders the home side more so will recognise our good fortune and take the four points. Very pleasing to score 50 on the road with our number one only scoring five of them. Not sure what Puk's issues are at the moment but I'm sure he'll sort them just as Kenneth appears to have done.
