  1. I think to answer that question you need to take their performances over a whole season, in Poland as well as the UK. What isn't in any doubt is their respective commitment and effort in the UK, Emil is miles ahead in that regard.
  2. Trying your upmost to get meetings on is commendable and I appreciate the being restricted to Wedneadays situation, but there is a reason clubs call meetings off early nowadays, its to give supporters clarity and prevent that nightmare situation where folk are standing on a terrace watching a tractor go round with little or no hope of racing. I would also say that having done it myself many times in the past, if you travel to a speedway meeting and the forecast isn't great then you know that risk when you decide to go.
  3. If that really was a factor then Wright has only himself to blame.
  4. Don't know about Kemp but not a silly logic for me, made perfect sense. Riders like Lawson and Wright could have been all at sea on a completely unfamiliar type of track. Brennan was competitive in his first heat if not his second. I think we'll have to agree to disagree but I called the five man team weeks and weeks ago.
  5. Bit of a theme with Lawson, doesn't get on with several riders or his own Father. Can't be bothered to turn up to P&P's. Screwed Plymouth over last year. Always found him OK at Lynn but it's not s good look. Anyway well done Glasgow, a little bit against the odds for me expected Poole to win that. As someone has said you just can't see them being bettered over two legs once again.
  6. I expect the logic was that those who ride most Sundays in Poland were more likely to score points.
  7. Definitely not time for change. Ellis and Brennan were picked because they ride regularly in Poland, others don't. Pretty straightforward really. Our record in the SWC/SoN has been excellent since 2018.
  8. Everyone kerb crawled in heat 20, the dirt was so far out. Had Lambert gone that far wide he risked losing second. Unfortunately Fricke held Lambert up a bit and Janowski to his credit found a little extra drive to get round Thomsen and under Lambert in one move, fair play to him. But that's speedway. We just weren't quite good enough over the twenty heats, nothing was thrown away.
  9. Thoroughly enjoyed that, fantastic speedway meeting that had a bit of everything. I don't think the GB boys can be faulted at all really, they gave everything and pushed the Poles right to the limit in their own back yard. Bloody Max Fricke though! One or two people embarrassing themselves on here tonight, let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say that their accounts are parodies. They just have to be. As has been said the event needs two or three venues next year, not just one.
  10. He's in charge of the whole show, he has to be authoritative. No idea why the camera has to be on him so much, or at all for that matter.
  11. I'd have had him in the squad if not the starting line up, but the comment that he beats the others regularly is completely irrelevant when it's in the UK. Polish experience and ability is what counts.
  12. Plus Pickerng missed the whole month where he was meant be at reserve. We've been crap but injuries have certainly contributed.
  13. During Covid somebody jokingly suggested that one day every meeting will be raced at the NSS with the majority of people watching it doing so via a stream. Perhaps that's a bit extreme but I can imagine just a handful of tracks operating eventually with several teams based at each one. Let's hope its the good ones that survive. The Lynn promotion will no doubt appeal for people to come and watch but what incentive is there to pay £22 when the team loses and the racing is non existent?
  14. The whole club needs shaking up from top to bottom. New team New promoter New track material New track man Shambles.
  15. Chris Holder for me, way past his best and hardly ridden this year due to injury.
  16. Dare I say it would have been called off by now if its going to be? I suspect removing Laguta from the equation has made the meeting runnable.
  17. Buster obviously can't afford to pay both teams and Laguta.
  18. We'll agree to disagree. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with a change but I'm pretty sure the difference it makes would be negligible. Facts don't work with the pro-pugwash agenda
  19. Nobody is a 'much better option', that's the point. @iainb has it pretty much spot on, Adam Elllis and Tom Brennan (and Bomber for that matter) have always ridden for GB abroad. If the likes of Worrall, Lawson, Wright etc (who all have it far to comfy in the UK) have declined those opportunities then they cant moan about not being involved in the SWC.
  20. Spot on. The OTTness is probably no surprise when you see some of the people posting it. All things considered I thought Ellis and Brennan were the correct choices from the squad, whoever you bring in now is unlikely to do any better and Ellis has now had a meeting on the track, might be better to keep him in. I'd be sticking one of the big guns at reserve though.
