  1. I didn't buy a programme so haven't read the comments but I can understand why fans have gradually dropped off since the track opened because the racing has been very much 'gate and go' with little passing. People will only stand this for so long before getting fed up. My husband went to every match for 3 years but not at all last season. I went occasionally once the dog ban was lifted half way through 2015 and for the first time this season on Saturday to see 2 friends from Kings Lynn. Must say I was very impressed though as the racing was first class ~ whether this is because of two evenly balanced teams or the fact bend 3/4 has been widened I don't know but it was enough to get me interested again so I'll be back. For heaven's sake don't start him off about his "brilliant" speedway career.
  2. OMG. That just proves you will never post anything remotely favourable about Leicester and anything you say is best ignored. I don't know why you bother going because no way can you say that was a very poor track but I suppose that's your idea to get attention and it's worked unfortunately. So much so that I'm off for a third today at Peterborough. Hopefully this match will be as good.
  3. Yes, I was there and thought it was so good that I'm now hooked. Whether it was the alterations to bend 3/4 or because of two evenly matched teams I don't know but it really was a great match and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
  4. Oh for goodness sake you've been told enough times READ THE POSTS and try for once to find your sense of humour. You must have one somewhere hidden away. He said 'sinks' by mistake so I said 'stinks'. Get it now? Nothing to do with your love in for bloody Poole.
  5. Yes, weather okay so far. Cloudy but the sun keeps making an occasional appearance. There may be the chance of a shower but nothing to cause any problems with the track. I'm going to this one to see whippy so I suppose I'd better be a neutral fan tonight. One bit of advice ~ it's going to be really cold this evening so wrap up warm! I'll be wearing about 5 layers as it worked at Coventry last night.
  6. Enjoy your hols then. It's probably a sight lot warmer than it is here. I just didn't want you to take any notice of Morrissey Fan's reply because he usually talks rubbish. Yes and it stinks too. Yes, me neither. Don't expect much sympathy from Gemini's.
  7. Why are you taking notice of that stupid reply? Of course there was more than 400 there. Admittedly not as many as there should be for a match against Poole, but the expectation of a thrashing plus really cold weather probably put some off.
  8. Would you really want to bother? If I was a promoter of an EL club these days I certainly wouldn't.
  9. We've all been invited to the Queen's birthday celebrations. Haven't you heard yet? Let's hope you are right.
  10. It might be fractionally better but with Lindgren in for Holder making the Pirates even stronger and Coventry having a 6 man team, another thrashing looks likely.
  11. So what night would you suggest so he would come rushing back to ride, along with all the other G.P. stars? Not Friday's now Poland seem to have taken that day over as well.
  12. Yes, Woryna has had his operations and is now recovering at home. No idea when/if he will be back though as it was a really nasty injury.
  13. You've missed out Watch the tractor do umpteen laps, or perhaps that comes under 'Stand and stare bored.' Doesn't always work though. There was a very good deal for the recent Leicester v Swindon Sky match yet by all accounts the crowd was poor.
  14. Is he Polish then? It's only April and I'm cheesed off already with what looks like another season of guests/rider replacements. If Holder chooses to ride for Torun rather than Poole then it should be a National League rider as a replacement. You can borrow one from the Storm if you like. Too hard apparently.
  15. Which begs the inevitable question ~ why bother with all the tractor grading to get the shale back on the racing line? (That's what the announcer tells us anyway.) Why can't the dirt be left on the outside if it is going to improve the racing?
  16. Yes, of course he is. It will more than likely be at least a 20 point win, with possibly 8/10 point win in the return at Coventry if we're lucky.
  17. There aren't many Speedway related things that I remember these days but I do recall Mike's awful crash as well as it was more or less on the same section of track. Crashes are the worse thing about Speedway and I don't like to see them. In fact my dad who took me to Blackbird Road when I was 9 eventually stopped going altogether as he didn't like crashes. I think Tony Davey (Ipswich) also had a bad crash at Leicester when he broke his leg and ended up in the Royal. I remember that one too because feeling sorry for him being in a hospital nowhere near home we went to see him.
  18. So over a week later what's the news that never happened 'tomorrow'.
  19. Ooooops! Are we going back to North again?
  20. Sounds awful. I also saw him have an horrendous crash at Blackbird Road when his handlebars got caught up on the wire fence on the home straight. Sue was standing near us and made a hasty retreat to the pits to check how he was. I'm afraid that's all I can remember though and I don't know what injuries he had on that occasion.
  21. Why would I quote the whole post when I'm just referring to the relevant bits? You said 'Swindon are not as good as they thought they were' then when Crazy robin replied 'No one has said Swindon are good' you say 'Exactly right.' which kind of contradicts what you said in the first place. I can quote the whole post if you like but I'm always thinking about the bandwidth.
