Only have to finish 6th out of 11, then come good in the play-offs, so an average team could become champions. Tough for Castagna to become HL in my view after being at reserve for Birmingham. I'd expect Thompson to be 3rd HL on a 6.3 ave.

I think Starke has room for improvement, he only rode part of the season for Ipswich & also impressed for Kent. So a full season in both league could help. When Doyle last rode in the UK, the league was a lot weaker. While his GP form may have fallen, doesn't mean he can't beat all the top riders in Britain. Id expect him to be able to average 10.00!
-
Probably because they built a team 1.6 under the points limit!
-
Coles should be a minimum of a 7.0 man in the NL, so if he can ride to his potential should be a great signing! That being said, he must be on a 6.0 ave for a reason, which in the weakest NL ever wasn't a great achievement for him!
-
Can't see Ipswich anywhere near the top, at the moment they look a very weak team. If Batchelor, Riss & Heeps improve I'd say it's possible they could make the top 4, but not finish top.
-
If true, what about Wolves having 2 x RS? Also even if the RS has to ride at 7, what's to stop the team manager swapping them round during the match?
-
Trying to find my preferred riding order. But whatever way I put it I can't help think that Ipswich are obvious wooden spoon candidates! Home 1. Jason Doyle 2. Cameron Heeps 3. Erik Riss 4. Troy Batchelor 5. Danny King 6. Anders Rowe 7. Paul Starke Away 1. Jason Doyle 2. Cameron Heeps 3. Troy Batchelor 4. Erik Riss 5. Danny King 6. Paul Starke 7. Anders Rowe

My conscience always makes me put the stronger reserve at 6! -

I'll counter that with: At Home 3 x heatleaders (No Number 1) 2 x second strings 1 x decent reserve 1 x passenger Away 2 x heatleaders 3 x weak second strings / strong reserves 1 x average reserve 1 x passenger -

If Allen is a better team rider, will he not be finishing behind his partner every time they get a 5-1 or 3-3? Makes it harder to get a high average -
SGB Championship 2022 Confirmed Signings

Correction: Broc Nicol should be 5.45 -
Cook 8.79, Hume 4.88, Total 41.99

Based on 2021 form, I would certainly pick Nielsen ahead of Cook. Think Birmingham have a great signing here!
-
Poole easily could've fitted him in, just drop Ben Cook instead!
-
Has Complin been given a 6.00 ave?
-
I could name dozens of riders, may not be any good but there's plenty who can ride a bike!

Oxford Cheetahs 2022

Could complete the team with 2 riders who can certainly score plenty in the reserve berth! Oxford 2022? Troy Batchelor 9.11 Scott Nicholls 8.84 Cameron Heeps 5.19 Kyle Newman 5.03 Jack Thomas 4.79 Stefan Nielsen 4.52 James Sarjeant 4.30 Total 41.78 -
There not gonna sign him on a 10.74 ave, when they have 3 heat leaders available on lower averages
-
Lots of posters are quick to say no to Bates, Proctor, Sedgmen for example. But who else fits? Normally I wouldn't suggest a 6.00 man who will score 4 points a match, but of the next best option is a 2.00 junior - better off with one of the above 3 mentioned!
-
I've read on the forum that Thomas Jorgensen doesn't want to ride in the Champ next year, but if Berwick could sign him, they'd be one of my title favourites!
-
If he wanted to race NL, he should have completed 8 matches for Kent to get a 3.00 ave. His 5+ ave doubles to 11+ for NL now!
