To be fair I can understand why they’ve said that. Heeps averaged 6 and a half in the main body of a Premiership side as recent as 2019 and there were some pretty strong sides in the league that year. His fall has been pretty spectacular sadly and Oxford are clearly gambling on him returning to something like his old form. I’d certainly take him on 4.33 if we were in the Championship..
You could well be right though! Starke was a good reserve his problem was scoring well at reserve and then moving up to the main body and becoming a passenger.
If it IS Rew at 6 then we’re going to have to be patient with him. He may be talented but there looks like there’ll be a few seasoned pro’s like Lewi Kerr at 6 for a few clubs so he’ll no doubt find it tough at least to begin with.
Context is everything. May have been said tongue in cheek for a laugh. If it wasn’t then it’s out of order no matter if that’s what you’re thinking you just don’t say it really.
Things change on an hourly basis let alone daily basis with this team building lark. That’s why it’s a bit misguided and premature to confidently state that certain riders have definitely signed. Even some in rare cases find themselves out of the team even after actually signing a contract..
Yep that’s a steal that one I agree. Was like sh!t off a shovel at Foxhall this year. Let’s hope the rumours of KK going there are true to instantly undo that good work
