Itll just force teams to pick 3.00 riders who arent really upto it and end up with the same problem that Lakeside or Isle of Wight did this season.
-
The problem is that with a higher limit there needs to be a decent number of heat leaders to spread around. But they can more easily than ever get second tier places and Premiership reserve spots so many of those riders might not want NL, or if they do then move mid season and the NL team loses them like the IOW & Greaves. However a low limit wont wprk as theres not as many competitive 3.00 riders around as a few years ago when the MDL was in full flow.

Depends if its within what the rules say 😉
-
Same result: he became an unattached 3.00 rider.
-
Halder got given a average mid season, after he was dropped by Buxton.
-
Ben & Zach both missed Championship raving this year so (unless the rules change) they should use their relatively low averages from 2016. I think Zach is 2.67 and Ben something like 3.85. Also did they say what night they would race? With Fridays still having the obvious issues and Sundays poorly attended, I assume itll be Saturdays.

Is Mildenhall's Ko Cup Final Lineup Illegal?
Islander15 replied to WalterPlinge's topic in National League Speedway
So it appears that Bebee hasnt had his average reassessed after all. Maybe theyve realised its not within the rules and, for once, decided to adhere to them. -
Its different scenarios though. Halder was an unattached rider riding in league meetings which count towards an average, whereas Kemp has stuck to meetings which dont count towards an average: NLKOC, National Trophy & play-offs. In theory however, I agree that riders such as Kemp & Edwards etc shouldnt be allowed to ride for multiple teams as a 3.00 reserve especially when they prove that theyre better than a 3.00 average yet theyll still start 2018 on a 3.00.
-
If there wasnt enough dates to fit in the NLKOC then how can they fit in all the Championship fixtures? I wouldnt be surprised if theyre replacing Ipswich in the middle tier as, if the rumoured couple of teams move up, then the middle tier will need increasing in numbers.

Thats good news for Sam and his development as hell definitely get a team place next year. -

Yeah its quite ironic that the post was started to question Woods team position but thats conpletely within the rules. Yet Bebee cant be the number 8! -
Nearly! There was a rider turn up late instead. 4 guests. Updates were wrong.
-
I wouldnt be surprised to see the same happen at West Row unfortunately.
-
I see your point but its only swapping one unwanted weather for another: dust for a freezing cold Oct evening and other clubs manage the dust. For example Buxton and Mildenhall run in the afternoon and Scunny run afternoon double headers in May & August
-
The difficultly in getting a decent guest at 24 hours notice and so late in the season is understandable. The real issue here is the fact that the fixtures have had to be scheduled so promptly (in both leagues) and clashes have occurred and the NL meetings are the ones that have been affected. Mildenhall only qualified 2 days ago and this is a rearrangement! Peterborough only qualified 2 days ago and gave organised a home leg! But every year there is a fixture backlog in Oct and nothing is done about it.
-
Quite a funny opening with calling Ben teapot but the updates comment... So every other sport struggles with attendances that have live, second by second, commentary does it? Social media attracts publicity and attention and thats why more and more clubs are parting their own Twitter updates.
-
Arent Sundays in August a better alternative than ending up using Sundays in October though?
-
Stokes double header is off today too.

Belle Vue Colts V Mildenhall Ko Cup Sf 20/10/17
Islander15 replied to Aces51's topic in National League Speedway
So doubling-up costs the Colts the chance to secure the double. If Scunny & Pboro had have got on with their KOC quarter-final then the Glasgow semi wouldnt have been so rushed to reschedule it day after day in October! Equally though if the rules allowed the NLKOC to go to golden heats then the Mildenhall quarter-final wouldnt have needed a replay and this meeting couldve happened earlier in the season to avoid the fixture back log. Like we all know though: the rules are a state! -

Paul Bowen it is then. A good choice considering. -

Eastbourne have nabbed the obvious replacement for Mellish in Jason Edwards. I wonder if someone like Ben Woodhull will reappear for one meeting. The weather looks dodgy around racing time on Weds so the rain could prove to be a leveller too. -
With Hume on that average again almost guaranteed, youve got a brilliant start!
