The Championship has been a great place to be - Ive really enjoyed most of it and wouldnt be at all unhappy to stay there However I do think this year may be the right time particularly as it seems very likely Boro are switching too All comes down to the terms and set up agreed at the AGM though and then its down to those in control to make the decision as they have to 'sign the cheques' so to speak

96 responses to an ad hoc 24hr poll on an unofficial privately administered page is pretty decent Pob Be even better if all those came and sat with us and made some noise in the same way!! Ramp up the atmosphere a bit

I think there was some fair comment at the start of the year and that less than perfect preparation showed in his performances He ended the season in much better shape and form Only Cam can decide if he wants to make the most of his undoubted talent - its in his own hands

Glasgow 2019 Onwards
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to greyhoundp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I dont see any good reason to be gloating or laughing about the Glasgow situation Regardless of any financial budget reduction that is coming I think we should all hope that there isnt a similar reduction in interest in the sport generally The overall approach and attitude to club and community (IMO as a neutral outsider) has been a breath of fresh air I very much hope that continues and others decide to follow -
AGM November 2018

I find it a bit strange that some are hoping for a running commentary from the AGM Until the end nothing is decided/confirmed and even then may require some tweaking in hindsight I do just hope though that all of that is in place before the season starts this time. It is the supplementairies that are most damaging IMO -
Well done Pob for your efforts with the Massif pages Would be great to see the Witches and the Massif get bigger and better next season

It will be interesting to see who the new owner is not just of Peterborough but also the other clubs currently for sale New blood should be welcomed - perhaps there may be 1or 2 surprises that shake the sport up for the better -

Put certain riders of a 50m handicap and you would have them as 3 pointers by May but stuck off 50m all year The next year off scratch those same riders would average 10+ Handicaps not practical IMO -

Only because Flint is such a talent and improved his average dramatically On starting figures not as strong -
2019 NL Season

Flint Hume Clegg and Davey all in the same team is too strong for the NL IMO -
Agree Jason that the 2nd tier reserve berth should be exclusive for Brit riders to progress from NL and like the idea of them staying at reserve all season

Can only go by the fact that a significant number of posts on this thread are stating 1)Top league speedway at Boro doesnt work 2)2nd tier speedway at Boro doesnt work 3)Weekend speedway at Boro doesnt work 4)Weekday speedway at Boro doesnt work 5)Any combination of the above at Boro doesnt work Of course how representitive that is of the real view of the pussycat faithful is not proven and there I would bow to your greater local knowledge Im just very surprised at how much negativity there is for ANY proposal even given thats what the BSF often does best -

Non Brits currently come in on a min 4 and cannot drop below 4 so that would have to change for that to be an option Personally I wouldnt allow any rider under 4 in the Premiership anyway..... That said I tend to agree with the principle of recreating the gap between leagues Ideally 2nd tier heat leaders should only be reserves/lower second string in the top league -

Sounds like many of you think the best plan would be to turn off the lights, lock the doors and hand back the keys..... You should be delighted anyone wants to take it on and keep it going (at whatever level) -
Thursdays - Use them or lose them!

Count me out on that £10-12 is not a realistic or feasible price for entrance to any professional sport -
May depend just how drastic any changes are in the structure of the leagues There are some suggestions Championship level could be 6 man teams at around 36 point limit with the 'top end' riders excluded Perhaps that would mean a switch now retaining the likes of Rory and Danny seems more attractive

Thursday Isnt that what the top league really want anyway.......

I would imagine that the football club can/will offer some kind of grass roots/community deal which will bring with it access to FA and lottery funding -
