  1. Heat 8 was a very good battle and the track certainly looked fine Plenty of material - perhaps a little loose but far better than the majority of tracks seen recently. A huge improvement on previous seasons and a testament to some obvious hard work to rectify some long standing issues
  2. Totally agree 35 points using Premiership averages is 45.5 at this years Championship level A 10% increase in rider quality yet there is an expected reduction in admission from around £16 to £10 Pie in the sky
  3. IF there is any fine it is more likely to be from outside speedway via council/enviromental agencies There is no justification for a speedway fine or points deduction
  4. Then perhaps the 'rich' clubs should go it alone..... no need for a league programme - just straight to the play off final between both of them
  5. Whilst considered an enviromental no no now from a selfish speedway point of view its possibly exactly what this and a few other tracks need to sort out the problems with the material not binding as desired
  6. Agree with that James - it doesnt matter whether its 1 point or 20 points we MUST win
  7. I can understand your caution I rarely feel the Witches will win by too many even when they should (Then again we rarely actually win by too many just lately )
  8. Dont think Masters can ride in the Championship this season now His current Premiership average is over 8 which means he cant 'drop down' Those above 6 are barred unless they are would qualify to ride in the NL (ie effectively British) Of course the number of regulations that have been 'relaxed' or changed mid season this year is large and could rise further to assist us......
  9. Did you ask permission? Easy to get yourself in trouble nowadays
  10. Thats my point - how can Poland insist he rides NOWHERE for 14 days Yes not within 14 days in Poland but if his time out within UK rules has expired and he felt fit to ride then Poland should not be able to dictate
  11. What has Poland got to do with it? Others have missed UK meetings with mandatory concussion suspensions yet still ridden abroad That said I was amazed he was even announced as having a chance to be fit for it in the first place!
  12. Fair comment re my titling - perhaps just a little naughty Dont get me wrong Im dont want to knock it and I am very much in favour of the new set up (and how Glasgow are attempting to drag the sport up from its boot straps generally) Just dont see it as outrageously terrible that Lambert misses it in the circumstances Given that the set up only came into play just before the SON any other plans were only ever going to be last minute this season - and for that effort I applaud them Hopefully next year with full planning an exciting new programme can be integrated and fully supported
  13. You obviously feel far more strongly over this matter than I do which is why Im less inclined to defend a position Ultimately there are far more important things to get worked up about than 1 rider missing a hastily arranged friendly, even one tagged as a test match
  14. Almost right - no rider full stop - not just reserves
  15. Jarek a Polish licence and at least £5k a meeting more than we could afford Huckenbeck I thought had ruled out Britain in favour of concentrating continental commitments
  16. Any Premiership rider brought in has to British upto 6.84 (converted 8.90 available) or average under 6 if not British (7.8 converted) I dont think there are any British riders left that fit the criteria and any non Brit is giving up at least a point from the team building total Guests and even r/r seems better on the face of it unless theres something small and fluffy lurking in someones headgear......
