  1. Perhaps with Plymouth Belle Vue IOW and Birmingham all riding the options were no better Who let all those NL teams ride on a Friday?
  2. And thats why I started the thread - to get that thought process going I for example dont begrudge the current set up as I am happy to go with for the good of my club. I appreciate how delicates the finances must be However many wont think the same way and in the long run the policy could be more expensive than a full/proportinate refund/discount
  3. You pay admission £15-18 for 15 heats You only see 6 yet the refund/discount offer (standard terms) is just £4 as refund/discount is only calculated upto heat 10 when a result could be called Imagine going to a restaurant paying for a meal and only getting the starter but then being told theres a hole in the roof , rain has poured in and the kitchen has closed Its ok though you can come back next week and pay full price again minus the cost of half your starter How many would accept that and in those circumstances how many would go back? Also Id hazard a guess trading standards would be investigating Is speedway a special case? Should we as 'fans' suck it up for the sake of 'our club'
  4. The Berwick fixture has had 3 dates all within the cut off date and all rained off in genuine circumstances What more could be done? Last nights date was a reserved date within the cut off ready for any what wouldve been unexpected rain offs in August Having 3 rainy Thursday in the last 5 weeks was impossible to predict or plan for
  5. Every heat not raced (upto heat 10) means a £1 discount at a future meeting So discount of £4 will apply under standard terms After heat 10 no discount/refund applies
  6. More likely effectively minus the Premiership in reality but the name may remain
  7. The £6 discount originally stated will be honoured even though correct policy is £4 Effectively the 2 races completed before the official tapes up time of 7.45 we get back
  8. On the website the full and correct policy is shown unders the tickets section Refund due is actually only £4 under that (£1 for each heat not completed but only upto heat 10 where a result would be declared)
  9. Ipswich werent behind but have been hit with 3 wet Thursdays in the last 5 weeks - something you would not expect during August/early September in any year let alone one as hot and dry as this
  10. All the riders should be applauded for giving it a go There was no way it could continue Very frustrating Double header next week??
  11. For me it wasnt a miserable hour in the rain To see the control and track craft from Drew in heat 4 to retain 3rd when boxed in and under severe pressure was worth whatever admission money I dont get back and ending up soaked through In any circumstances that wouldve been a fantastic effort but in tonights conditions it was remarkable and a truly sublime piece of riding
  12. Incredible comments from the Bandits fans 'Excuses' 'Delaying tactics' 'Running scared' 'Shafted again' 'Only one winner' 'Panic had set in' More comedy than Sunday night at the London Palladium
  13. We had done our bit being top dog for more years than many people have had hot dinners - just having a short nap The giant will awake in its own good time
  14. Most reports are for showers (70-80% chance) between 7.30 and 10 Predictions are for between 1-4mm but showers will be light and scattered But no huuricanes - yours Michael Fish
  15. Berwick need to win but shouldnt.... Doesnt matter if Witches win but should... We all hope for a meeting like Belle Vue tonight but dont expect it.... Anything else?
  16. This?? https://ipswichwitches.co/preview-ipswich-v-berwick-championship-3/
  17. Fantastic drama and racing - if only we could have that everywhere every week!
  18. It was quite similar to the Nicholls/Pedersen(Bjarne) from a few years back Nicholls (in the BWD role) was excluded there too I am happy to concede your point and agree Riss was actually a touch fortunate !
  19. There was still 5 yards between Riss and the fence that BWD chose not to use - instead he misjudged the gap and he hit Riss PS - Im enjoying the rosy glow through my tinted specs
