It was a great race - as were a number of them. Cam v Starke in which Starke was passed but re took to win was superb too. Highlight was Nathan seemingly finally being swallowed up on lap4 before diving back inside Harris off the last bend to pip him for 2nd by the width of a tyre. It really would be a travesty for British Speedway if it were to lose the Panthers and the Showground. Were there any positive words in the post meeting end of season interviews as to 2018?

Well he was due to ride Thursday and only pulled out of the rearranged meeting on Friday.You would therefore expect the note to be dated Friday. If its prior to that then why was he listed as due to part in the previous attempts to run the meeting?

I think there are only around half a dozen 8+ away average riders in the whole of the Championship. It really is quite rare so to expect 3 in 1 team would be exceptional.

At home you have choice of anyone in the Championship bar Cook (and Josh G who is injured anyway) Depends if anyone is still set up ready to go rather than off home or already on holiday. I think it may be closer than many are expecting. Witches a bit vulnerable with their ill and injured due to ride. Im glad they are though and its great they are determined to turn out despite it probably being easier to cry off.

What a cracker to end the season with!! Ged will be able to cover next years free meeting from the travelling Witches fans for this alone - no excuses now for 2018. Witches will start as favourites but with Danny ill and Rory and Kyle returning from injury there are still plenty of questions marks as to whether that should be the case. Boro are more that capable of running up a big score at home against anyone. The fact they havent done so too often doesnt mean it cant happen this time.
