  1. So whats the estimate for last Fridays 'biggest crowd of the season' ?
  2. 'very healthy levels' How many on average is that approximately then?
  3. Would make sense. The only thing I can think of to prevent this is if stock cars are running Saturday 7th. Foxhall restrictions include (I think) having no more than 2 events in a 8 day period.
  4. Come on Baldy cheer up! If we were having a poll to give you a new name there would only be 1 winner... DoomyMcDoomface.... 😛 Its gonna be tough and Sheffield are strong favorites but I dont think its a done deal. We were 2 up after 11 heats in our league visit. Yes they now have Kurtz and Bates back and we may well have Connor out but Id be disappointed to go down by 26.
  5. I think this thread is questioning the KOCup semi in the fixture lists of both teams for Thursday 5th October for Sheffields home leg when the reason for holding the first leg of the final (subject to progress) on Thursday 28th is that the stadium is unavailable the week after. So is the cup date postponed?
  6. I think the confusion was that someone said the food was a scone but was misheard as the food is gone 😆☺
  7. What Kyle told you they dont sell food in the snack bar 😜
  8. Will need to ask Worky to rearrange their home meeting next Saturday then..... Greaves is the No7. He replaced Hume whose average remains at 2. Connor started at and had around a dozen meetings at No6.
  9. good luck finding a rider under 3.25 that in the last few weeks has beaten Howarth and Masters at their home track...😩
  10. and HIS response to that was mature and professional and a credit to him.
  11. and had around a dozen meetings at 6 rather than 7 so even more impressive really
  12. Hope Connor is OK - he has been fantastic recently and deserves to get the experience of being part of the end of season big meetings.
  13. The 2 really big decisions of the tie were Riss in heat 14 at Foxhall and Schlein in heat 8 at Armadale. Would be great if these appeared on the BSPA 'video vault' for all to see and debate....
  14. Just watched the EMTV after meeting focus and needed to say what a fantastic production this is. I hadnt seen much of this before outside the odd video clip and didnt realise the depth and quality of their efforts. Top stuff and 👏👏👏 to Scott and all others involved. All clubs would benefit from having something even half as good in their promoting armoury.
  15. can always come up with lots of what ifs for both sides. The 2 heats in the rain at Foxhall really went against us and evened things up when we were pulling away comfotably. The heat 8 Rory 'incident' was a re run after a possible lay down/stay down when staring at a 5-1 reverse anyway. Monarchs report states Danny touched the tapes in heat 1 so the warning shouldve been an exclusion and instead it cost us in 13 when the Monarchs report says his jump was marginal (given the normal Monarchs slant in their reports Id say that means he was stock still and just made a blinder 😜) So swings and roundabouts really. A proper hard fought tie that couldve gone either way.
  16. Of course its only right they cant announce dates until after the 2nd leg over the other semi however unlikely it us for Glasgow to turn it round but some of us need to plan ahead for days off or will miss out.....
  17. Sat 30th is a reserved date in the fixture list at Foxhall and I think is pencilled in assuming Sheffield finish the job as they surely must. KOCup at Sheff on 5th and Foxhall on 12th. These could be be redesignated I suppose given the lack of progress in the other half of the draw.
  18. Need a lie down now but woooooo hooooo! Shame couldnt be there - reckon there mustve been a great atmosphere. Thats the sort of contest the sport needs. Close and hard fought and the result in doubt right to the end. Bring on the final 😀
  19. alternatively look at how the Hume/Mountain Greaves/Mountain set up has worked out at Ipswich. And actually Newcastle may have worked out a whole lot better had Phillips stayed fit as he was showing good signs. If the pair are good enough it works and if not it wont.
