If the rumours of a 12 team top league are true then IMO there will have to be a significant reduction in doubling up. The second tier will have to become a hybrid Champ/NL strength which just would not be credible to combine 3/4 riders of the standard of this years Champs No7 and below and riders such as Cook Harris Masters King Holder etc Id say no rider over 7 by this years Champ figures should be allowed in a 2nd tier like that.

Guests allowed as riding for their double up team Re Lakeside - I think they hold a top flight licence which is 'on ice' and so as such can automatically ask to return if they wish next year.

On the face of it looked absolutely fine but theres no doubt a few were having some minor troubles particularly around bends 1 and 2

different names on paper is all thats needed.... smoke and mirrors in line with the classic speedway approach 😛

With the need then for a hybrid Champ/NL I dont think it would be feasible to still include the current top riders in that set up. The likes of Cook Harris King Masters etc against teams containing 4 riders of the standard of this years No7s and below would be awful. I can see the second tier not including any rider over 8 or perhaps even 7 from the current set up and having a limit somewhere around 32-35. The top tier may also need a similar converted limit to ensure a shake up allowing teams moving up to not simply be sacrificial lambs.
