  1. far from pointless - LC group matches count for the averages so the scores will go towards deciding who will be your No1.
  2. I think all riders from other teams have booked a holiday for that week and your semi will have to in September.
  3. It was a bit tongue in cheek. When the sun was out it was lovely but as soon as the cloud rolled in it was indeed like the arctic! One last comment re the meeting/s - special mention for Blackbird who IMO was rider of the day.
  4. So near to a point but oh so far. Some pride restored to an extent at least. Lessons to learn and onwards and upwards hopefully. Well done to the Panthers - vindicating their pre season favourites tag.
  5. Had planned to go to this one up until a couple of days ago but cant justify the cost - the kids prefer Legoland! After this afternoon I dont expect anything other than a big Boro win. 40 points would be a huge success.
  6. Panthers were right on it and fully deserved their win. The score didnt flatter them either. Just knew it was gonna be one of those days when Ritchie went down when set for a 5-1.Once we went behind it was all over. Pride is all there is to hope for in the return.
  7. are they on you checklist to take? Big coat Scarf Flask of soup Tartan blanket Werthers Originals LOL see ya later old man!
  8. In the past even where it has been stated a voucher is needed I have never been asked to provide one.
  9. Doolan Risager Tungate Heeps and Manzares added since going PL. Blackbird I think has also switched to being a Witches asset. Few teams have added as many in that time. It would be great to have Worrall and Ellis as assets but there are 22 others clubs that would think the same so to have the chance to have 2 of the best young Brits in our side despite not being assests is a close second. The fact that they will miss a few meetings is a price worth paying IMO.
  10. IMO the form of Bach will decide both meetings. An impressive Bach - say 12 points and the home team will definately win. A poor return - say 4 points and the away team will be right in with a shout.
  11. Dont see that ever happening whilst a Good Friday crowd is likely to be 3to4 times the norm regardless of the line ups.Why would any PL club agree to giving that up? IMO thay would still run even if EL had priority in all cases.
  12. Hard one to call due to the Witches guests and the Boro inconsistency. Bach is capable of going through the card and Mills should mix it with the Boro bottom 3 at least. The Boro top 4 on their day could win a meeting anywhere but equally go missing too often. So all in all looking forward to a tense topsy turvy affair with hopefully the Witches edging it.
  13. and I for one am very pleased he was! Schrammy was superb by all accounts as well.
  14. Ginos sensational start has made the difference. Had he scored at the level seen from fellow newcomer Fox elsewhere we couldve been looking a 4 defeats rather than 4 wins. Personally I wont be too concerned about Cams form unless it runs past the LC group matches. IMO its mostly confidence - could take just 1 win to get him back on track. We dont need to be phoning Somerset to borrow the panic button just yet!
  15. After Benkos effort tonight I think we may be due another air fence challenge as it is now looking a bit short and may well be few replacements left.
  16. That was what I call a proper speedway meeting! Devils were very competitive and but for strange manager decisions on the TR and Res switch may well have snuck a point. Good all round contributions from the Witches. Top notch commitment fron Wells beyond that you can expected from a guest - refused to be bullied by Barker and gave it back double to repass. Very impressed with the other KK and Jensen. Benko did poorly as expected and thankfully Ritchie wasnt wiped out by his kamikazi move in heat 8. Both Cam and Rohan did their partner no favours in their pursuit to beat good friend Jensen which cost points and perhaps evened up the tactical loses from the Devils. If every week was like that then Id be happy.
  17. A good replacement IMO. Wells has been consistently competitive on his Foxhall visits. Would expect Plymouth to struggle but then look at their performance last week and you never know. Id be very happy with a 12 point win.
  18. Rene Bach I believe and Chris Mills for Good Friday. Not sure about next week though.
