  1. Never understand why teams want 'bragging rights' surely the fact that Lakeside will or possibly should take all the points is the only important issue. I have a friend who supports Spurs and he lives and breathes for their results against Arsenal (and West Ham). He openly taunts us if Spurs beat said team but then come the end of the season they are always behind Arsenal!! Would you be bragging if Poole win at Lakeside (full strength or not) but then ultimatly dont make the top 4? One match means nothing in the context of the whole season.
  2. and in my previous post i alluded to as much. The thing is he stated quite clearly that he didnt want a wildcard and he clearly stated his reasons. He might not have been bothered after the farcical dates of the semis so instead of saying that he came out with the wildcard statement. The fcat is we will never know that answer. But for some to say the facts were that he couldnt be bothered is absolute tosh and calling Tai a liar basically
  3. Lol really is that a fact is it?? No its your opinion. The facts: Tai declined to compete in the semi finals due to the dates they were arranged for clashing with a gp weekend Upon withdrawing he also announced that he wouldnt accept a wildcard as he felt it wasnt fair on the riders who had done the semi finals. He was NEVER offered a wildcard to ride in the British Final. Your OPINION is that he never intended to ride in the first place. Please back that up with some sort of statement from Tai then please otherwise you are simply putting words in his mouth to try and back your claim. Then again you maybe right, Tai might have woke up one morning in say February and just decided to miss the British Final because he felt like it. Funny how nothing was said until the dates for the semis became common knowledge!
  4. Correct as he didnt do the semi finals he said it would be unjust to get a wildcard when the other guys had raced the semi finals. Playing devils advocate he may have said that so it deflected away from the point that he might have turned one down anyway. However the fact remains it was the semi finals that were the issue, something that for some on here is hard to understand as they keep wittering on about him missing the final
  5. Nope but missing the semi finals that were the same time as a gp weekend, and then not accepting a wildcard because he felt he didnt deserve it , could of harmed his chances. 79 pages in and people still think him missing the final was the issue when it was the semi final dates that were the problem.
  6. We all know what old man Muddlo is like. His mouth engages before his brain. Matt Ford has come out publicly and said Lakeside tried to move the date but couldnt. At the end of the day Poole agreed to the fixture knowing riders wouldnt be free. Tough luck im afraid Nobody wins but what would Lakeside be expected to do.? They havent had a meeting for ages and there is a cut off date for fixture so if the postpone this then who is to say they would get all their fixtures in. Lakeside have a huge chance to reach the top 4. Have this meeting with a low attendence but the long term gain of a play off spot outweighs that.
  7. The gate will be 30000 and I would guess 29990 will cheer Tai on along with Bomber and Danny King. Your going to get a few d1ckheads turning up and booing him. Guess you fit that bracket
  8. the quality of the elite league riders? Apart from 4 or 5 riders they all ride premier league anyway. Lawson , Summers , Worrall, Masters all quality riders. There are some shocking meetings on sky in the elite league and if you think last night on a wet track should produce great racing then your talking rubbish. There are cracking meetings in the premier as well as the elite your just to much of a snob to realise
  9. There is a lot of elite league snobbery from a minority on here. Don't understand why people don't realise you get good and bad meetings in both leagues. The Berwick meeting was poor but the Glasgow one was good lots of close racing and great team riding on a rain affected track. I've seen some garbage elite league meetings many times mainly from Lakeside or Poole. But it's funny how the snobs feel fit to judge the premier on only 2 meetings
  10. Maybe lakeside understand the need to get meetings raced in time before the cut off. One small crowd and a victory will be compensated if they complete their meetings in time and then have a packed house for a play off match. Need to look at the long term gain
  11. what a load of rubbish! The elite league has plenty of poor meetings yet you choose to ignore them. Correct on Monday it wasn't great but you need 2 teams to make a meeting. Last night was what speedway should be about plenty of atmosphere and some good racing despite the weather.
  12. At least not all elite league fans are snobs glad to see some enjoyed it rather than expect 20 passes per meeting. There was some good close racing, ok not many passes but the weather played its part in that. Cracking atmosphere which is the norm at the majority of premier league tracks ive been to (unfortunately my club Ipswich lack that) and a bumper crowd. The doom merchants obviously expected more. And whats wrong with Ayres celebrating?? We have a lack of characters in the sport now so good on him. Don't remember to many Poole fans moaning when Zetterstrom did his dancing! Unfortunatly the elite snobs judge the premier league on a meeting on Monday on a hard track to pass with poor opposition and tonight on a weather affected track. Seen plenty of dross on sky in the elite league!!
  13. aren't we will or we'll concentrate. and i have no idea what economical with my words means. Im simply pointing out a fact. No meetings in June could mean fixture backlog??
  14. Lets hope that by not putting on any home meetings in June doesnt come back to bite Poole on the backside trying to fit fixtures in at the end of the season. Would be a crying shame if they missed out
  15. Provide me with the facts of me twisting my words please. As ive said all along Newman good little rider, not improving much more and isnt as good as Garrity. So if your so adamant ive twisted words then provide the evidence please.
  16. Where have i twisted anything? Said Newman was a good little rider. Said i think Garrity is better Cant really see what ive twisted there Anyways if i want a debate i will chat to adult Poole fans like foreverblue and chris4gillian
  17. Fair comments as always. Just a shame some of your own fans cant debate properly. Kyle is a good young rider as ive said and despite other people thinking different its not a Poole thing You say you would prefer Kyle than Garrity but what if Kyle had to ride at 2 same as Jason? Personally i think Garrity would score a lot more but as you say Kyle is liked at Poole and that counts for an awful lot as well
  18. If being called an idiot or a troll or a fool gets you so worked up that you resort to having cheap and downright vile attacks on my family members then quite clearly you are not right in the head. Call any name you want im not a 6 year old girl who will run off crying. Maybe what i should do is show my cousin whose late mum and dad you have insulted , the comments you have made. He isnt as nice as me and would have no hesitation in letting you know to your face what he thinks of you. To the normal people on this thread i know i can be an argumentative t0sser at times but this person has taken things to a whole new level. I apologise to all of you on here for disrupting the thread. I wont however apologise to vermin
  19. yes you are a low life for insulting my deceased family yes you may have got sponsors if your were good enough No idea who my cornish friend is?? Marks mum and dad and grandad came from that way so im guessing you are insulting them as well. Call me names not an issue im not a precious as you are but do not insult my family
  20. Thank you for being a sensible Poole fan who can actually think outside of his own club. I apologise for the tone of some of my posts but they are aimed at your fool of your club not the decent Poole fans. Speedway fans can all see the truth that Newman is a very good young rider that hasnt progressed the way it was expected. Injuries have played a part but only a small part
  21. You are wasting oxygen on this planet that could go to a decent human being you low life Its called sponsorship of at the time a 15 year old mascot. Who knows if you was remotely any good at the sport you might have recieved some.
  22. we are talking about his progress in the last couple of years, that accident was a while back. I'm sick of the village idiot not being able to have a discussion!
  23. ive never said Kyle hasn't had a serious injury. What you are clearly missing as always Starman is the whole point of the debate. Bless you it's not your fault I guess because you never answer any question that is out to you! Quite simply I will ask you both again and lets see if you can answer them. Is Kyle Newman improving? Is he better than Garrity or Worrall? Those little hook like symbols are question marks it means you have to answer them! He has had some shocking injuries we know that and that may have held him back but I say to you again that that is not what is being debated!!! I'm sure yet again you will say its Poole bashing but you have conveniently chose to ignore the praise I gave Adam Ellis and the fact that I insisted Kyle was a good young rider. But your answers to everything when you don't have the intellect to debate is the same
  24. so yet again you fail to answer the questions? Injury does stop progress but you can hardly say his injurys have been severe. He is at his level decent reserve and that's it
