  1. Overall this is a sensible move and hopefully the commitment is there to see it through. Like many before him Coleman will not be fully embraced by the BSPA//L and will become a disruptor because of his passion, innovation and commercial interest all of which antagonise the status quo. The backstabbers will be sharpening their steel and rinsing their bobble hats, I can't wait to be proved wrong
  2. Except it didn't, he came into Speedway with Chris Morton and David Gordon taking him as a Belle Vue "Trainee" which kept him out of custody at that time. The probation service stayed close and he got off to a great start in the sport only to be poached away from his mentors and then slipped back into his old ways until it all caught up with him. He's bitten plenty of people along the way, mixes with the wrong folk in the wrong places which is why his early release failed and he was recalled. He is a very likeable lad though.
  3. Since I blocked you and your aliases - no not at all. No need to respond I won't see it, count the hairs on the palm of your hand instead.
  4. There's a Josh Hewitt listed as a director of Forever Panthers Limited
  5. Upwards I hope! The truth is the BSPA/L as it is now have no-one capable of handling Richard. His logical approach will be seen as threatening and disruptive. They will make allowances for his relative naivety then try and get him into line and wear him down just as they have done with others before him. Some great and capable individuals have been lost from the Promoters ranks because of this, RFG is so insular and just doesn't get any bigger picture at all. It's bobble hats and foot stamping all the way.
  6. I agree with your opinion and many, many parents and helpers were focused on track time for their charges but with the exception of a minority these virtual "clubs" were awash with egos. As I mentioned previously well intentioned, sorry I wasn't ignoring your previous post.
  7. I didn't really want to go into that but I can assure you the same names were cropping up year after year
  8. And maybe not if you look at the very public bickering on Social Media right now which makes the sport look juvenile. This is an example of why the BSPA/BSPL have rules and penalties not withstanding their opposition to Nomad teams run by well meaning amateurs.
  9. And is only a fraction of the cost to riders allowing them to take out their own policies.
  10. Like they lost Rick and Julie together with other capable business folk.
  11. This just reads like the clubs ignored the broadcast partners agreement again. GoSpeed got some sh!t on here but the broadcast operating manual they produced and every club agreed to was spot on and very professional. Clubs still didn't trim the centre green, clean the air barriers and screwed up Broadcasters Brand Banners leaving them covered in sh!t for the rest of the season. The clubs wanted their share of the fees but wouldn't adhere to the agreement and just left TR to battle it out. If it wasn't for the need to fill summer live sport airtime Speedway would have been discarded years ago
  12. I dare say The Northampton "Hamptons" was considered but Foxes does make for an easier race jacket and merchandise design!
  13. Do you think they'll have their home meetings at Scunthorpe?
  14. Sorry Dean we must have been keying simultaneously
  15. They will have to have a BSPL minder for a short while on race nights unless RFG and the insurers have done away with that requirement too...
  16. Whilst a new club will be welcome the constant procrastination with both Ipswich and Northampton sets a dangerous precedent for seasons to come. Historically the AGM declaration to run has been the cut off point with the odd exception allowed until the fixtures are compiled then that's it. Landlord/Tennant disputes/agreements have been the usual cause. This is an unprecedented shot in the foot head!
  17. It'll keep the cleaners busy though !
  18. A bit like Len really, treat very shabbily.......
  19. Couldn't agree more, the sport will never recognise just how much he has done. His contribution has been immense....
  20. I can't remember which way round but electro pulse is either a massaging vibrator or a vibrating massager ....
  21. An excellent summary of how it works
