  1. Not “in difficulties”. Just not prepared to run a meeting under present circumstances which would lead to a guaranteed loss.
  2. Hi Les, please explain. I use a vpn and have Sportsmania as my go-to for my sports channels. But they don’t stream Polish Eurosport, only U.K. Eurosport.
  3. It’s pretty clear it’s not going to be on the 2 main channels. So what are the alternatives? Perhaps SpeedwayRus is showing it live on VK.com Go to VK.com. Do a search for SpeedwayRus. Live meetings normally show up a minute or two before tapes up. Good quality. Hopefully one of the usual sources like Maniak will stream it. If not, the option is to spend out on Eurosport player.
  4. Yes I think it was sold out. The only way you are going to be together as a group would be to buy as I suggested.
  5. If you wish to sit together then the 6 tickets need to be purchased together by one person. Then get the others to PayPal/transfer their tickets money to you. As for whether the fixture will take place, we will have to wait and see. To be honest I would rather the club shut up shop until the end of July than see then lose money every meeting with reduced attendances. Club sustainability and survival must come first.
  6. Excellent meeting. Well done to both teams for giving it a go.
  7. And some say last weeks meeting from Monmore was good. Chalk and cheese. No comparison.
  8. And to think some people call him Byawney. There’s a reason he is a legend at Wimborne Road.
  9. Enjoyable meeting so far. Bjarne turning the clock back and putting in some great rides. Pirates legend.
  10. Old boys should win this. Hope for a decent meeting. Abbie Stevens? Is a honey and good on the mic.
  11. The commentator has to be the worst ever. Sounds like a snooker commentator. Dreadful.
  12. Then the chances are that one of the Polish streamers will show it or SpeedwayRus on Vk.com
  13. In any other league Chris’s star would still be shining but in the best league in the world the loss of a few fractions of a seconds is the difference between a top scorer and an also ran. when interviewed we hear about setups etc, but the crew can tweak it as they like but it’s down to rider reactions and Chris can’t get back to where he was. Must be extremely frustrating for him and others having similar issues, as young riders battle in front of him. Would be a great asset to league one, Sweden and GB next season where he is still very popular. Would have him back at Poole in a heartbeat.
  14. Not much between the pair of them. Woffindens time as GB number one coming towards its end.
  15. If ever there was a heat where you could fill your program in before the tape went up, that was it.
  16. Bewley smoked Lambert there. Riding for a winning club installs a winning mentality, which is rubbing off in spades to Dan.
  17. At this rate they could ride 30 heats and Torun wouldn’t win one. Janowski, Woffinden, Laguta way too strong for anything Torun have. I hope it’s Magics year in the GP series. Looks by far the best rider in the world and is fantastic to watch.
  18. Torun haven’t even had a heat winner. Completely one sided. There are haves and have nots in this league which shouldn’t be so obvious.

  20. Following the news that that Birmingham Speedway have temporarily suspended racing until July 1st, the Poole management would like to announce the following fixtures changes. With Birmingham due to have been the Pirates' next opponents at Wimborne Road on Wednesday 23rd June it means that there will be no meeting that week and likewise the trip to Perry Bar due this coming Wednesday (16th) has been postponed. Poole promoter Dan Ford said "having learned of Birmingham's predicament we are wholeheartedly sympathetic to their position, as they are under similar constraints to ourselves, as the current Covid restrictions on attendance has made it almost impossible for clubs to cover costs, something that every Promotion within the U.K are experiencing." As with all promoters, we are eagerly awaiting the next government announcement , due on Monday 14th June which will give us a clearer picture looking forward, but in the meantime we can confirm that our Knockout cup visit to Plymouth has been rescheduled to Tuesday 22nd June, a date that has become free following Birmingham's decision and our visit to Kent on Tuesday June 29th still remains. A decision on home fixtures at Wimborne Road will be announced once the Government provide their update on the roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions. http://www.poole-speedway.com
  21. How can there be a huge crowd at the cricket in Birmingham, but not allowed at speedway just up the road?
