Poole Pirates 2021
Steve Shovlar replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Already got my tickets for Plymouth and Eastbourne away. These two meetings are advance online tickets only, with no pay on the gates. So it wouldn’t surprise me that Poole follow suit and you pay online and print off tickets. Then a simple scan on the gate and you are in. Another advantage is that once the 1500 tickets (as an example) are sold, that’s it. No point turning up hoping for access, and it means no upsetting fans by turning them away at the gate. If there are long queue sirs a covid risk. Online means you can stroll up one minute before tapes up knowing you will get into the ground. -
Championship League Predictions
Steve Shovlar replied to W9 Lion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I hope some of the racing makes up for the lack of overall quality. Just had a browse at the teams. All a bit of a mish mash. Poole clearly stand out as the team to beat as expected. Can’t see why anyone rates the budgies. Other than Eddie they don’t look that good, though it will be great fun reviving the rivalry and picking up our usual win at Arlington. Leicester look ok but it’s gate and go. Just have to get to the first bend leading and it’s all over. More passing on The Bidding Room. The rest? Nothing to see. By the way I see the name Paul Hurry in the Kent side. Is that old ex rider Paul Hurry’s son? If not.....hahaha.. As for Plymouth, having two old riders in Bjarne and Crump might get the crowd in for a few meetings but when they are trailing at the back that novelty will soon wear off. Still, this has to be better than last year. -
Poole Pirates 2021
Steve Shovlar replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just thought I would wake up the thread. No news or anything to say, other than wishing everyone a merry Christmas, with the hope that we can start next season on time with fans allowed inside stadiums. Oh, and Pirate dominance of course. -
Believe it came back just inside the tolerances. Remember the hubbub but can’t remember who the rider was.

Shame on Ceislak. His ego cost Poland big time. Glad Poland didn’t win it. As for teamGB. Can we get any lower? Difficult to achieve to be honest. We hear every year that all these youngsters are fighting to win through. Then end up as second strings in the second division at best.

Plastic Pole. Disposed of when he isn’t any use at reserve for his club. Hopefully the Russian team manager will never pick him for what he did.
