Poole v Ipswich. Prem. 18th July 2019
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Ipswich gifted a point due to Josh’s ef on heat 14. Great performance by a very weak Pirates team to beat Ipswich. 3 points only from Bradys rides. New number two in August and Brady back will make us a very serious team to beat. Happy days! -

I look at it this way. Poole are clearly weaker with Brady missing and usin Barker. Ipswich are basically full strength. Nicholls for Harris is about the same. So whatever the score tonight, Poole have quite a bit of strength to attain. Ipswich haven’t. Both teams are in the playoffs. Tonight doesn’t really matter. When they meet in the playoffs it will. -

Don’t you mean legend in his own bedroom? Tonight is going to be a tough one with Brady still out. We really needed him to be honest and are very vulnerable again. The lads need to get stuck in from heat one. Ipswich will be sore after being thrashed at home last week and be out for a quick revenge. -
Yodelling is good fun and clears the throat. I love to yodel. Swinging from lampposts.

Anyone tried peanut butter and marmite on toast? Keep hearing about this combo but yet to try it. Like them both.

Hearing Nicholls for Harris. Our luck might just have finally run out on Thursday. -
Treebeards an interesting name. I like it.

R/r for Brady, Ben Barker for Richie. Covatti back at reserve with Wells at 7. Brady still out. Seems a long time for a concussion. Still a very weak lineup. When has Barker done anything at Poole? -
Peterborough v Belle Vue - Prem Mon 15th July
Steve Shovlar replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That was so disappointing. I had some hope earlier on that tonight would be an exciting meeting with some great battles. What we got was an extremely dull meeting with no thrills or excitement or close racing. Just riders carted off to hospital on a badly prepared track with virtually no passing. Poor poor poor. -

Nicholls punished himself. Unlucky BV. Easy 4 points tonight though. -

This is terrible rubbish. Peterborough used to have decent racing what the hell has happened? BT need to bite the bullet and share the remaining televised meetings between BV and Poole. -

When Wimborne Road had some bumps earlier this season it was always slick and never dangerous like this. The bumps never caused injuries. -

Track is a disgrace, just like Kings Lynn last monday it is far too grippy and dangerous. Riders struggling and getting injured through no fault of their own. Track records are great but doesn’t mean the track is good for close racing. Just means the riders arms are being pulled off. Give me a slick, safe track with close racing any day. -

Disgraceful remarks. The lad was trying, has fallen and hurt himself. How about hoping he is ok rather than slagging him off?- 326 replies

Should never, ever have been done away with. It certainly was worth it. Couldn’t understand it being binned.
