  1. Perhaps complacency had set in. The Witches just thought all they had to do was turn up and Pirates would just roll over. Or perhaps they have been riding above themselves and tonight reality cut back in? Or perhaps Pirates are lucky to have the best manager in the business who can motivate a team not expected to win. Middlo is a very good man manager and knows just how to get the best out of a team. Whilst it was an impossible task on Monday, the Ipswich track is more similar to Wimborne Road in shape and size. He got them fired up from the start and determined to battle for every point. Perhaps Hawkins hasn’t yet got that ability?
  2. Did anyone predict Poole would win tonight, seriously?
  3. Newman. 0,0,0 Big track specialist there. Wells had a good meeting he owed that after what happened on Monday. Doolan did OK. Better than Ipswich reserves but ran a couple of lasts. A full strength Pirates would have done probably even better.
  4. This is certainly not aimed at the majority of Ipswich fans. Just one. Who seems elusive tonight for some reason. Where are you Gavan? Gavan your time is up! Better send out a search party.
  5. Gavan. We are waiting.....tick tick, tick tick........
  6. Because we have taken the P out of Ipswich tonight? From now on they are the Iswich Witches.
  7. For tonight I will take Gavan off blocked and read his posts. Should be hilarious. I have been told he has been gloating for weeks that Poole are the easy opposition. Has he got the guts to come on here and congratulate Poole for their win tonight, or will he run and hide? As he never goes he must be reading this. So come on Gavan, do you have it in you to say Poole were the better team tonight, or will you just run and hide and hope it’s all a bad dream? I am waiting.......tick tick tick tick.......
  8. Just been riding above themselves. Which was good but met the patched up Pirates tonight and melted like a mivvie in the sun. Shudder to think what the real Pirates would have managed.
  9. Have a great journey home FB! You will float back after this result.
  10. A shame if it doesn’t go ahead but I am guessing the rent would have been the same with a tiny crowd. Many Poole fans would be at Blunsdon the same night. A shame but to run an event like this it has to be financially viable.
  11. Depends if he can get to Togliatti on Friday for practice.
  12. Never going to be anything else Skidder. Very rare for Ipswich to get one over Poole so they will be shouting from the rooftops come 9.30, regardless of Poole’s team strength tonight.
  13. Some of the team have been riding above themselves which has been impressive. But it won’t last in my opinion. They will make the playoffs with ease, like Poole, even with our injury crisis. You could even win next week at Wimborne Road as we are vulnerable at the moment. But I don’t see Ipswich as champions.
  14. Ipswich will win with ease but I think they are overrated. When it comes down to the playoffs they will be found wanting. Just my opinion of course and others may disagree which is their right.
  15. Wish it was one night only. His career is coming towards its end and he is on the way down. No chance of points from him or the reserves other than the guarantee in heat 2.
