No Brady on Thursday. Not recovered. R/R. Ellis and Starke guest. Peterborough every chance of getting a result with this extremely weak Poole lineup. As for the track: https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/17670595.danny-ford-insists-poole-pirates-will-do-everything-we-can-to-improve-wimborne-road-track/

If the riders had refused to ride the meeting would have been abandoned. Although the Poole track is in desperate need of being relaid and given fresh shale, it really wasn’t as bad as those that were not there have made out. Klindt has said on Twitter that the Swindon track last night was worse than Wimborne Road. Both tracks were not acceptable and I spent £42 on entry with program and £25 fuel and it certainly wasn’t value for money.

He has gone from a lad with some potential to can’t get close to a point. Never even threatened to beat a pirate last night.

Me thinks Swindon fans are trying to deflect from an abject day when they were expected to take 7 points. Last night I was more than happy to come away from Swindon with 2 points. A draw was never predicted and without our main man either. A great result for Poole. Sure Swindon lost ~doyle due to the Swindon track but it’s not our fault. I don’t believe a single Pirates fan left Blunsdon disappointed with the result. Next up Peterborough and hopefully another 3 points.

No after meeting conference today as riders had to get sorted and away for the journey to Swindon. However, I did speak to a member of the Poole management at Swindon who are more than aware of the condition of the track. They are trying to source a blade with laser which is very precise to cut the track accurately and remove bumps/holes. I also they have been trying to source fresh shale with a higher clay percentage. They might also have spoken to Buster about using him and his gear to sort the track out.

Well just got back and who would have thought at the start of the day the points would have been Swindon 1 Poole 5? Fantastic backs to the wall performance tonight from the Poole lads as they battled for everything on a track not fit for purpose. We should have won tonight as we were 60 metres clear in heat two going into the final lap when Covatti whacked into the big hole on bend one which stopped his bike dead. There was lots of track grading and Doyle was out there with a shovel. Possibly the reason he had to withdraw later in the meeting. Rosco far from happy with Musielak. Told to not come over but insisted, even though he was nursing his shoulder before the meeting. Didn’t have the strength to hold onto his bike and crashed. Rosco said they could have got a guest in. Stand up and take a bow Jack Holder. Brilliant performance tonight after hitting the hole in his first. Only 7 points tonight for Brady who would have relished the track. Both teams had riders missing though. A good haul of points. Both meetings rubbish racing wise to be honest though.

Really? Why is that then? Because you disagree with my thoughts on the meeting? Swindon fans expected to pick up 7 points today and it hasn’t worked out. Lunchtime meetings are notoriously slick and dusty, though the dust was kept under control until the last few heats. Poole riders didn’t have the same issues the Swindon riders. We all know the Poole track is far from perfect. I posted a clip of the first meeting and the billowing dust clouds. Unacceptable. Yes, we would like the Poole track to be nice and smooth. And it isn’t. It doesn’t seem to be the promotions number one priority. Don’t ask me why. But it certainly wasn’t as bad as has been made out on here by people who were not at the meeting. Swindon were unlucky losing the Pole. But the chances were that we would still have won. As I have said on several occasions, Swindon have weak reserves and need their top 5 firing to win. Perhaps getting rid of the flaky Pole and bringing in Jensen will give them more clout.
