Absolutely. The score would have been even wider had Morris inexplicably not gone through the tapes and they had used Hancock and Jedrzak in heat 15. An utter one sided rout which makes a farce of league racing at this level. Hancock must be on a pretty penny to be riding at this level. Taking candy from babies, without risk. No chance really of an inexperienced kid taking him out because he is gone out of the tapes and no one is near him.

John Hector did the track for years, and if I recall completely ballsed the track up one week that led to a similar cancellation. He offered his resignation which was accepted. Last week it was a dry day so at least 11 hours to get the track right. But it didn’t happen. Tens of thousands of pounds of lost revenue. What looked like a very big crowd turned up only to go home disappointed in being told no racing. Some may never come back. Matt Ford alledgedly saying his most embarressing moment in his time as a promoter. There’s no doubt heads have rolled in this debacle.

If that ws true other clubs would be losing tens of thousands a week. Poole haven’t got an expensive team and Matt doesn’t pay more than he can afford. Poole’s crowds are down but not bad compared to other clubs.

Matt Ford has stated Magic wanted what was the equivalent of three times the gate money per meeting. It’s not true that riders won’t ride for Poole. They will. For lots of thousands a week. Never going to happen and the reason why not only Poole but any other British club would struggle to bring in a top rider if needed.

Poole took Adams, not Swindon. Adams moved to Swindon from Poole when Poole were still NL.
