  1. That doesn’t make the bookies wrong. They will only be wrong if at the end of the season Poole are not champs. Nothing has changed. Poole still favourites. If our odds stretch out I will get a couple of hundred on them.
  2. Starman, really? It was obvious he was talking about Dorset Knobs.
  3. Cook unlucky there. Don’t understand why the ref stopped it. Rybnik track is hard work in trying conditions though passing still possible.
  4. Weakens Belle Vue considerably. Bewley could have had 7 rides now a likely 4. Drodz at reserve will do OK but not the fire power of Bewley.
  5. How have the bookies got it wrong?
  6. Will be coming up for this one. Weather looks set fair so hopefuly a big crowd and lots of Poole fans making the trip up to support the team. I don’t expect us to get anything as the team have started woefully with over half the team off form, not only here but abroad as well. No one could have predicted such a poor start. We need to see Kildemand scoring double figures to back up Brady. But his form in Poland has been abysmal, so a poor score wouldn’t suprise me. Swindon by 8. If we get a point that’s an improvement.
  7. Kildemand scoring 4 at Somerset? Josh not doing his job. Spanner off form. Only Kurtz and Woryna doing their job. Every meeting we lose it in the first few heats. Changes are needed and will happen. Riders know if they don’t perform they won’t be in the team for long.
  8. Very sad to be losing smiler, but the changes are inevitable. More to come once 4h4a. Do fans of other clubs expect Matt Ford to do nothing about our poor start? Poole are the only club in the UK that treat the sport as the Poles do. In it to win it. If a rider is not performing his place in the team is under threat. James is an unfortunate victim of circumstance. Hope he is back at the end of the month.
  9. Mike, you have gone through a very difficult time in the last 6 months. I am sure the doctors do not want you at all stressed. Stress is very bad for anyone, especially so with someone recuperating from a serious head operation. This forum is full of banter and bullies and is perhaps not the best place to spend time if you get at all stressed. Time out away from here might make you feel better and your health will improve because of it. Absolutely no point in getting wound up on posts by people you don’t know. You don’t have to react to every post. It will do you more harm than good.
  10. Only fan boy mff fan, running around like corporal Jones shouting Don’t panic! Don’t panic! Is acting in such a manner.
  11. Good god talk about a few headless chicken Poole fans running around thinking the end of the world is nigh. Matt Ford Fan is not a Poole fan. Probably never been to Poole Stadium in his life. So we have started the season on the wrong foot with a few in the team off form. Not the end of the world. Trophies are won at the end of the season. If you think that Matt Ford isn’t going to deal with our poor start, then you don’t know Matt. Everything will be just fine. I am 100% sure we will be in the playoffs with a very good chance of silverware come the end of the season.
  12. Guess Gavan thinks he knows better than the bookies and will be chucking a ton on Poole. Wish I was there, but just spent the day in Venice. What a beautiful place. Makes up for missing out on the speedway tonight.
  13. Why on earth would Poole fans have lost faith in our team? It’s the start of the season and the team needs a little time to bed in. No worries from me and I would have been there tonight but for the fact I am currently out of the UK until tomorrow. Fans from other clubs better take the P now, because they won’t have that opportunity later in the season.
  14. I am sure you realise all this ribbing is going to come back and bite you hard on the arse.
  15. There’s already a thread on this subject.
  16. Looking at the Rye House team tonight, Wolves should have won that.
  17. Some great photos on the Echo website. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/16180754.GALLERY__70_years_of_Poole_Pirates_speedway/?ref=mr&lp=11
  18. A shame it’s off but probably the right call. But it changes very little. We will just get the points when it’s restaged.
  19. Can’t tell with Kings Lynn. They normally call meetings off two or three days before. Long way to travel when there’s an unreliable promotion.
  20. Good for me. I should be able to make the re staging. Bad for the Poole fans who are already there though. Is it a case of its tipped down in the last hour or another call off because it might rain ? In which case it could have been called off first thing this morning.
  21. And there are displays /old videos plus many old riders to chat to at the stadium during the afternoon. All free to those that wish to attend. Shame I am going to miss it all. The club giving back to the fans.
  22. Adults £3 entry with a £5 souvenir program.
  23. Szczepaniak a flop? He was one of the riders to do quite well against Swindon and rode well at Belle Vue. Sure as expected he struggled at Monmore but overall he has upped his average and done a decent job.
  24. That’s right. You don’t see. Because you don’t see Poole ever. Talk about running around like a headless chicken! I can see you running around like Corporal Jones. Don’t panic! Don’t panic!
