  1. The situation with Somerset has come about for a number of reasons and the home meeting against Wolverhampton was unfortunately, the nail in the coffin. Most people will be aware on the night that there was a problem with the starting tapes being uneven at the start of the meeting. In my first race, I was off gate 4 and there wasn’t enough dirt on the track for me to make a comfortable pass and I came last. I was told by Garry I would be taken out of my next ride and replaced by Doyle, at this point we were running a 6 point deficit and I felt it was unfair to remove me from my race when I knew I could go out and win it. I told Garry in no uncertain terms that I wasn’t happy with his decision and we had a heated exchange of words in the pits. I’ve had one off meeting (at Swindon) and the repercussions of that has been the threat of the sack, for a month. I shouldn’t have to feel apprehensive about turning up to a meeting knowing it might be my last. Part of my reasoning for disagreeing with Garry is not only the way I have been treated but also how other team mates have and it wouldn’t be healthy for me to continue in the same way. I am not happy about being made out to be a disruptive person, with a bad attitude or a perpetrator of negative team spirit. The Somerset press release is completely inaccurate but that’s the only way they can lay the blame on me. I won’t criticise anyone’s character in the same way, I am better than that. I turn up to the track with immaculate bikes and a positive mental attitude, I don’t go out there to score poorly and anyone who knows me will know I give 100% both on and off the track. My scores this season reflect that effort, both for Somerset and for Sheffield. I attempted to make amends with Garry, to be the bigger person. But really, there is no going back from what has happened and subsequently was sacked by text message while racing in Poland. There has been a complete lack of respect and I for one, do not feel the criticism and defamation of character I have received is warranted. I have been exceptionally loyal to Somerset and have enjoyed my time there over these past 6 years but unfortunately, loyalty and respect are both qualities that have been lost. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who made my time at Somerset as great as it was, and to the fans for getting behind me meeting after meeting. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t saddened by the situation but everything happens for a reason and I hope this outcome will bring bigger and better things for me. It’s water under the bridge, I’m not going to dwell on it. I just want to get on my bike, stick it in the dirt and ride the boards. Charles
  2. Why would Poole be interested in Charles Wright? Second string rider and we have better.
  3. Guys, Track Prat is nothing more than a moronic brainless troll with nothing intelligent to say. Lets just all hit the report button and get rid of this excuse of a person. His posts on here prove he is clearly a troll.
  4. Absolutely. Showing flashes of his ability but like Magic when he came over it takes a little time. Destined for the top imo.
  5. Hey Track Prat, Plymouth 46 44 Coventry. Just thought you would like to know.
  6. Go to 19.34 to see Kacsper show his skill. From last night in Poland.
  7. A better race than heat 12 shown previously on the official site.
  8. You are happy might be missing through injury? Disgraceful to be honest.
  9. Certainly would need Brady to ride as he is a track specialist at Somerset. Hope his fall has left nothing more than a couple of bruises.
  10. KL fan looking for excuses. Track was good except for a bit of dust after the interval. Worralls last to first in heat 15 proving it.
  11. And Holder hasn’t? Both have been good servants to British speedway, Holder possibly more so than Iversen, who chucked EL for a season.
  12. Suprised the KL fans haven’t turned on him like they did CH. Holder had well documented personal problems, which are still ongoing, but the KL fans gave him no slack at all. And he was doing a far better job than Iversen has done for them this season. With Iversen doing well in Poland on Sunday, why was he so rubbish last night?
  13. Dust inthe lasr 4-5 heats. No watering whatsoever last night. Stuart Dickson was overseeing the track all night. Suprised the track wastn’t watered.
  14. No idea. Perhaps the video company don’t want to give away the best heats. As I said, 13 and 15 were much better heats.
  15. Next Wednesday sees Pirates head up to Somerset for the Premiership A fixture. We have already been to the OTA this season and rode terribly to be easily defeated 52-38 in a terrible KO Cup performance. The team has changed since that night with Worrall and Klindt coming into the side for Shanes and a non firing Kildemand. Poole have improved since then and are a much more solid looking outfit. A narrow defeat at Monmore when we really should have won, and the trouncing of a very sorry looking Kings Lynn team show the team has started to show what it is capable of. What we lack with a big hitter we make up with in being a solid 1-7, who are all capable of winning a heat. With the added bonus of Woryna currently in a reserve berth. Somerset have proved to be very strong at home and I expect them to win this. However, I believe it will be a far more competitive meeting the the KO cup fixture and think Poole could come away from this with at least a point. Thoughts?
  16. Wasn’t race of the night at all. 13 and 15 far better races.
  17. He was announced as a Bournemouth footballer! You can hear it on the video clip!
  18. Rosco going mental at a trainee ref. Really, the word is trainee and therefore a ref that is likely to make errors. Does Rosco believe a trainee ref is not likely to make a mistake? When Rosco became a team manager was he perfect from the start? a silly rant in the local rag.
  19. Well that really was a team effort against a rider. Stand up Robert Lambert and take a bow. Was brilliant until his last two rides. Pirates finally clicked as a team tonight. Sure the opposition was very poor bar one rider but a few weeks ago KL would probably have got a point. No chance tonight with every Poole rider getting at least one race win. Should have hit 60 tonight but for two silly falls to Woryna and Kurtz, who hobbled off in heat 13. Hope it’s nothing serious. Some very good racing with special mention to Richie Worrall whose last two rides brought the house down. In heat 13 Iversen led but Worrall got through only for Kurtz to fall and a rerun. In the rerun the KL boys were on a 5-1 but Worrall first passed Robert Lambert then went after Iversen and got him with a superb cutback. In heat 15 he did it again to join an excellent Sundstrom for a 5-1. Here’s clip I shot of Lamberts welcome.
  20. Track just got the big thumbs up from Brady. Looks very good Stewart Dickson here overseeing it. Matt Richie here supporting Pirates.
  21. No changes after a certain date though.
  22. With Lambert wanting to leave Kings Lynn during last winter, and not being allowed to, he is probably right for the picking at the end of the season. Just the type of rider who would look good in the skull and crossbones of Poole. Would compliment Brady at the top end. Matt should be making enquiries.
  23. He doesn’t have a work permit plus personal issues which are frankly none of our business.
