  1. Better than your promotion. Calling off a meeting yesterday when it was dry the best part of the day stinks the sport out. Last nights meeting could easily have run and you know it. Look what they used to ride in. Now I am not advocating a return to riders coming out racing in this, but the slightest threat or possibility of rain in the next few days and the postponed signs go up. Not acceptable.
  2. So you think calling meetings off days in advance is acceptable, when the forecast is reasonably promising? It’s a terrible precedent to set, and one that was unheard of until recently. Two days in advance because there’s a risk of rain? You are having a laugh if you think that’s acceptable. Anyway its dry in Poole with sunny periods with the risk of an occassional shower this morning. No problem. Tomorrow showers in the morning dying out to give a dry late afternoon and evening. Unless the forecast changes there’s no reason why it shouldn’t go ahead. Matt Ford is giving the first 300 kids through the gates a free easter egg. Nice gesture from the club.
  3. No. I have checked the site and its not there again. You need to login, then click the Gold package link. Various payment methods are available but the ebay one is again missing, giving credence to the fact that as soon as someone signs up with this method it vanishes until goldvod put it up again. Best bet is to check every hour and grab it as soon as you see it.
  4. No rain today other than a few showers possible this morning. Dry rest of today. Tomorrows forecast has changed again to risk of sunshine and showers throughout the day. Wind is good.
  5. 4.45 am is not day. I said it had been dry all day, not night. There hasn’t been enough rain to call a meeting off. I believe once BV had called off this morning, riders were informed and those outside the UK remained there. Just an opinion of course. Promotions are being over cautious. Calling meetings off two days in advance because there’s a risk of rain is getting ridiculous. Kings Lynn and Somerset calling off 48 hours before tapes up? Might be wet now but 48 hours of drying winds is a long time. If Poole call off in the morning I would say the same.
  6. Might be the right call now but 48 hours of drying time to be had. I could understand it if the forecast is bad but its not. If the track was still bad Wednesday afternoon call it off then.
  7. Hahaha! People actually believe you have to live in a place to know what the weather is actually doing. Doyou know at this very moment theres a small shower slightly north of Long Beach, California. I am not there but know this is the case due to the weather radar online. Its called technology and it’s a wonderful thing. Lets you know whats happening around the world at this precise moment. All from your own living room. That’s how I know it was dry in Wolverhampton until a thin line of showers came through earlier this evening. And there’s a line of very heavy rain crossing Lyme Bay in Dorset as I type this. I am not in Lyme Bay, but guess what? I know it’s there! Remarkable!
  8. Forecast for next two days is good. Dry tomorrow, risk of a few early showers Wednesday morning. Do promotions actually want to start the season?
  9. Well it is raining now. There’s a very thin line of showers coming through which will last 20-30 mins. But don’t fib about it raining all day in Wolverhampton, because that’s just not true, is it.
  10. Has it? Hasn’t shown it on the rain radar. Went either side of the midlands. But back to what is important. Some racing at Poole on Wednesday. Looks 90% chance now of it going ahead. No rain forecast tomorrow as Skidder has already said and only the risk of showers Wednesday morning. That track might need watering before the meeting.
  11. Said all belong it will be on. No early call offs like Wolves today when it has been dry all day with a brisk wind. Very poor from the Wolves promotion. First crying off when Poole were due and now doing the same against Belle Vue. One would have thought they are running scared.
  12. So a couple of promoters have got caught out telling fibs to cover the reason certain riders were not signed. The trutch has now come out. End of story.
  13. Do the dogs run on the speedway track? Just turn the tractor off when the dog race takes place. Seriously though, its been dry all day. I have been to Wolves when they have had dogs, it’s rained in the afternoon and the track staff have worked on the track to make it raceable. Could it be the early Belle Vue call off meant some of the riders were not in the country so even if the Monmore track was fit to race, it wouldn’t have gone ahead?
  14. Hasn’t it been dry in Wolverhampton for the best part of the day? We always hear how Wolves is the best prepared track in the country blah blah blah but with it being a dry day you would have thought it would have been made raceable for this evening.
  15. Moan about the bspa mc then and take it off the Poole thread.
  16. Lots of sour grapes again towards the Poole team. Perhaps their promotions can put together a side to challenge.
  17. Wasn’t being condescending. Thought everyone knew how the easter dates came about. I learnt this at school.
  18. The bbc forecast has actually changed from earlier when it showed no rain after 7 am Tuesday. Still optimistic the meeting will go ahead.
  19. Not sure what forecasts you are all looking at but the Met office and BBC Both give dry Tuesday after overnight rain and a few light showers Wednesday dying out by the afternoon. XC Weather give a dry Wednesday. It’s going to be on don’t stress.
