  1. Ford is not bellyaching at all. He has told them to sod off with their demands. Other clubs who stump up ludicrous wage demands put their business at risk if fans don’t turn up to watch them. Poole have always cut their cloth accordingly since Matt has been in charge and as a result have been on a stable footing.
  2. Not sure this is true. Not saying the info you were given is wrong, but when riders demand Polish size wages to ride here they get short sharp shrift.
  3. And just how much is Drabik going to cost? 160-180 a point? Never going to be a realistic option unless sponsors stump up the wages. Easy keep pulling names out the hat but the sport is poor in this country.
  4. The rule book does not allow it. Simple as that. You would have to ask the MC to ignore the rule in the rulebook. Don't think any club has had success in basically cheating this way, as it would mean sacking a rider in the team to bring Doyle back in, which is against the rules as it states you cannot reintroduce a rider back into the team he rode for the previous season. The only reason the mc would have discretion is for a returning rider to replace a season ending injury to a teams number one, and certainly NOT for a team to jiggle to gain an advantage.
  5. Because the as yet to be announced will score more to relegate him to second string.
  6. What did Josh do to Hans in heat 15 when Somerset rode at Poole last season? Josh will only be heat leader until the first set of green sheets.
  7. You can’t bring Doyle back into the team even if Morris dropped below 8. The rules don’t allow it.
  8. Not sure it was a suprise. Poole asset. Yes my error will come in as a heat leader to start with but will be suprised if he isnt at 2 or 4. Doubt he will be a heat leader after first set of gs.
  9. Welcome back to Josh G. Good solid second string. Riding at 2 or 4.
  10. Info was watching him live on tv riding at number one for Rybnik.
  11. With any luck he will be happy back home where he is appreciated and will hopefully stick a point and a half on his average. Thats if he is in the Poole team of course.
  12. Jensen said on thepodcast if it hadn’t gone through the league would have been made up of three or four teams. Make of that what you will.
  13. Yes of course. And just disregard the fact Vaculik was Poole bound. I have come to the conclusion all clubs voted it through for the sake of the league.
  14. Matt had a number one lined up for Poole who has now gone elsewhere. There might have been overall consensus that all teams accepted the rule and voted it through.
  15. Not a gp rider. Has an official average. Doubt it. What about Pepe P? Szczepaniak? Holta? Burza? Llung? Davidsson? Andreas Jonsson?
  16. If Woryna in 2016 had acheived a 7.5 average for Coventry, would some still be bleating he should still be re-assessed? The sport has always been that promotions look for riders with improvement in them. Take away that and it sanitises the sport. All clubs look for riders who might add to their starting average. It’s the name of the game. Remember Boycey and Adams starting on a 2 average. Didn’t Crump as well? And some are so desperate they want CH to be re-assessed to 9? Lol!
  17. I don’t think the voting for the one over 8 is quite as clear or simple as wondering who voted for it. Steve Jensen said he was disappointed in the agm but said if the 1 over 8 had not been accepted, then the league would have been made up of 3 or 4 clubs. So in that respect some who wanted any amount of riders over 8 reluctantly accepted that it was a lost cause and voted it through to save the league.
  18. GP riders without an official average or GP riders who failed to support British speedway last season are a 9. Riders like Woffinden get the average they deserve for deserting British speedway. Quite simple and fair.
  19. Of course he does as does Wozniak on his last legit uk average. Teams are free to sign these riders if they can come to a deal. Pretty sure Poole will have a teamhungry for points and carrying no passengers or journeymen in 2018
  20. My post was aimed at Gavan not you, but I struggle to believe you have ever been to Poole in your life. Where do you live? He rode at number one for Rybnik.
  21. You are almost the sole cause of the Poole thread being blocked the other day. Matt Ford Fan is clearly not a Poole fan although he pretends to be and has probably never been to Wimborne Road in his life. So for the Poole thread to be blocked because the Poole hating troll (you) want to start threatening and calling Poole fans window lickers, and arguing with a pretend Poole fan was down to you and you alone. You have been completely sussed out by Poole fans who know what you are. A mindless troll set out to disrupt any debate Poole fans wish to have about our team. The troll can’t keep away. Only plagues Poole threads.
  22. Yes. He was a number one in Poland. Obvious he was way better than the rider he replaced. Anyone who follows Poish speedway knew he would do well.
  23. If any other club but Poole signed them no one would be saying anything. No one really kicked off when Musiliak signed for Swindon last year. And his signing was no different to Poole signing Woryna, who is a reserve in Poland compared to Musiliak being a number one/heat leader.
  24. It could do. Injuries at the wrong time or riders like kk taking the P. But no journeymen at Poole in 2018.
