I corrected the post earlier that stated the link from the bt press release went to the 2017 fixtures with a June start.
-
Ignore the starting in June post. The bt link went to the 2017 press release!
-
Keep up with the news dear boy. ☠️
-
Doesn't start until June.
-
I drove past the stadium a couple of days ago and the road surface on Wimborne Road is in a diabolical condition.

Utter guff waste of time tournament to massage a few corporate ego’s. Pointless event where fans have zero affinity to any team. Would be meaningful if club or country. As it stands, unless you are an employee, who cares? -
Inside the Referee's Box - Weds 7th March, Poole

Hoping to make it along -
Fricke is capable of adding a point, as is Bewley. Pieszczek and Newman if he stays injury clear wil up their averages. Kurtz, Woryna and especially Chris Holder will improve, as will Szczepaniak and Shanes. (And the reason Poole are favourites) KK should up his by a point if he has his head in the right place. Jake Allen for Somerset and Adam Ellis for Swindon should both improve. Not sure about Wajtknecht but we shall see.

Doesn’t do pressure. OK for league but not these types of meetings. Doyle and Fricke/Kurtz for the Aussies. Cook and Lambert for GB.
-
Already invest heavily, but only in my business. All profits re-invested into building it up. Have seen huge growth in the last few years but nowhere near where I want it to be. Afraid my type of business won’t benefit from an average speedway fan. And that’s with no disrespect intended at all. As for this round of the revamped swc, I hope Woffinden is not considered at all. Choose Brits who WANT to ride for their country.
-
Agree. Doubt there would be many there. Smaller crowd than a league meeting. Shame its not the final but Poland insist on such events.
-
You do make me laugh. No nothing about speedway? Lol! Since when have Mildenhall, Workington, Glasgow and Ipswich been in the top flight for Jacobs to score a point? Belle Vue, the only track he can get around in the top flight, binned him because he was garbage elsewhere. A one trick pony. Harsh, yes, but true. As for changing allegiances, Swindon introduced me to speedway in 73 and by 76 I was living in Poole where I became a fan. 40 years a Pirate and proud of it. Still a STFC supporter though as I started going when I was 8. As for selling junk, I didn’t realise selling fine art was junk! My Steptoe ‘junk’ should do me nearly a million this year. Up the Pirates! ☠️

Errrr.... It has been awarded a leg, not the final, and the lineup is crap. Won’t be many bothering with it to be honest. If you want to see a real lineup come to Poole’s 70th aniversary meeting.
-
Isn't John Hectors son employed by the stadium to maintain the track?
-
The new BV track is frankly, superb. I have been up several times and the only bad meeting I witnessed was the SWC semi. The final the following day was brilliant. I have gone up for the Poole meetings and all have been top notch racing. As for the Poole track, we are lucky to have such a good race track. Hopefully the dusting of snow we have had should effect the work that’s been done. A rider was seen playing on it last night. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2dwoiot1fbr90ex/Video 28-02-2018%2C 19 31 44.mov?dl=0

Because he was a one track pony. And the track he was good at didn't even want him.

Clarke Osbourne does not own Poole stadium. He is tenant leaseholder. Not owner.

We are in 2018.☠️

No we are far stronger in 2018 compared to the last couple of years. Looking forward to coming up to Belle Vue and smashing you! -

I am watching but nothing happened in the last 10 mins. Odds in your favour when all teams start equal and injuries can occur. But I believe Poole will win it this year baring any injuries. As for the analysis, interesting opinion. -
Neither is it at Monmore.
-
If the start is being moved back ten metres thats great news as where we sit is ten metres behind the start gate!
-
As I said early, both Coventry papers should be 100% behind their city’s sports teams but neither are really making any effort at all to help a campaign bring back either sport. Two words for both Coventry papers. Utterly useless.

Coventry City Community Day

I went to the Lakeside v Poole meeting when it was free entry several years ago. Over 7,000 and a very good match as well. The roads around Lakeside were completely gridlocked. Remember hearing the following week it was back to normal service.
