Jack will say anything negative at the moment as his nose has been put well and truly out of joint since he was told he was not going to line up for Poole in 2018. As for CH, I spoke to him the week after the Kings Lynn Poole meeting and he said although the Poole track is not smooth, it is consistent, you know it is safe and can turn a bike and race on it.
-
If that is the team it’s very, very, very Dads Army. Just like Swindon, I have to ask, where is the improvement going to come from? KK? He could easily turn out to be the Poole 2017 version. That lineup won’t win the title in 2018.
-
It doesn’t even it out at all! Having weak reserves is a disaster. Having a number one with a lower average means more strength in depth and stronger reserves!
-
Think Swindon are in competition with Wolves about who could get the weakest reserves! I see certain Swindon fans are in denial. Orion has said it as it is. swindon will be weilding the axe before the first set of gs come out.
-
Well he will have a chance against the Wolves pair. But both Swindon and Wolves are woefully weak at reserve.

Wrong post.

Not going to happen. Swindons 2018 lineup looks bland with really poor reserves who will be there all season. IMO there’s little chance of retaining the title with that lineup. You are kidding yourself if you think those 7 riders will improve enough to retain. Titles are won with riders increasing their averages.

I heard that was the case and Matt reported Somerset to the BSPA MC.

Well I live in Poole and its the road towards the Purbecks for me. Pain in the arse road one big jam every day.

I drive up Herbert Avenue every day.

This is just a general observation on the look of this lineup. I am not trying to wind up Swindon fans or cause an argument. Just my opinion. 1. Nick Morris 8.87 2. Troy Batchelor 7.63 3. David Bellego 7.37 4. Tobiasz Musielak 7.37 5. Adam Ellis 5.56 6. Zach Wajtknecht 3.21 7. 2.4 odd points. Whilst some Swindon fans will be happy with the look of the lineup, I have to ask where is the improvement going to come from? Looking down the riders only Adam Ellis stands out as a rider who can improve his average. Teams don’t win titles with riders maintaining. Morris got his average at the easier number 5 berth last year and won’t have Doyle riding alongside him in 13 and 15. A tough task for him to keep his 8.87. Batchelor will maintain. You know what you will get. 7-8 points with the occassional big score and howler thrown in. Bellego should never have got a spot. Ludicrous signing imo. His form in the second half of last season showed he isn’t consistent and there are better riders about on lower averages than 7.37. Bringing in an improving 5 pointer would have made a huge difference. Musielaks signing last year won Swindon the league. But now his advantage has been used up. Still score fairly solidly no doubt but no real value. Adam Ellis on 5.56 is value and he can stick at least a point on that. The reserves are whipping boys. They will be there all season and are seriously weak. Other teams will fill their boots. Wajtknecht should be number 7 with a more experienced reserve in the 6 berth. If Rosco had shifted out Bellego and brought in an improving 5 pointer, it would have meant a 5 pointer in the first reserve berth. Will Swindon make the playoffs? No idea just now as other teams are yet to announce their lineups. But that lineup doesn’t look strong enough to defend the title. Replacements by June. Disagree with my opinion? Tell us why you think the team will do well.
-
Lol! you know what I posted about Batchelor is true. Even Orion said exactly the same, though in not so kind words. Come playoffs on a wet night and he won’t want to know,\. I know it, he knows it and so do you.
-
Watch out Marko you will be labelled a troll. Stating the obvious not allowed! You will upset Sidney and a couple of others! Lol!
-
Watch out Sidney the Robin and Hyabb17 will be calling you a troll.
-
Sundstrom has been mentioned by several people. A bargain average and much improved. Would be a great signing.
-
Great signing getting Batch back. If Swindon make the playoffs and the track is a little wet the other team will be laughing. Some Swindon fans seem to have forgotten the 'effort' he put in the last time he rode for the club in its most important meeting of the season.
-
Jack clearly has talent. That wasn’t the issue. His overall behaviour last season clearly was as Matt wouldn’t have got rid and refused to have him back for next season even though it meant the likelyhood of losing out on his brother. Perhaps once he has grown up a bit he will realise how to behave.
-
Think everyone wishes him well. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
-
Matt just cleared out one youngster who thought he was too big for his boots. Do we need an instant replacement?
-
Absolutely. He could have been at “Man City”. He ended up at “Huddersfield”. The deal was done then Swindon offered more to Cook. Matt clearly thought his offer fair and wasn’t going to get involved in a bidding war. I rate Adam Ellis and think he has a good future in the sport.
-
If that is the lineup Rye would romp the league imo. They would be canon fodder at reserve but the top five would be very strong, especially at home.

The rules are there for everyone.

Those are the rules. Always have been

The difference in Poland is significant. One rides for thd equivalent of Tottenham or Liverpool while the other rides for Wigan or Shrewsbury. Woryna, along with Drabik, is about to smash his way onto the Polish national team and no more than a couple of seasons from being in the GP series. I am not saying this because he has signed for Poole. I follow Polish speedway and have watched his progression in the sport and its been impressive. Lambert is a good rider but he was pathetic for TeamGB in the SWC. He didn't do much last season for Lynn other than confront a fan in the crowd who had just about had enough and made his thoughts vocal. Now he says he isn't riding in the UK next season. Buster deciding by the look of it to get rid. Chalk and cheese I am afraid.
-
I do, and by quite a considerable margin on the world stage. One rides top flight Poland and is in the top 20. The other rides two divisions lower in Poland. Quite a gulf in who they face evey meeting. Having said that, Lambert knows his way around British tracks better than Woryna so I expect him to have a higher average in the UK. If he can be arsed to ride here.
