  1. So Coventry fans have the very good news of a team to support and follow next season. Now they just have to show there’s enough fans left to turn out in enough numbers to make it viable. Hope the talk on here doesn’t reflect the feeling of the majority of Coventry fans otherwise the club is dead in the water.
  2. Didn’t think the agm finishes until tomorrow so don’t expect a press release before late tomorrow night or Monday.
  3. Might not yet see a Holder at Poole in 2018. The teenage whinger can only mean Jack Holder. Brady is signed and sealed. Jack Holder not being considered and going elsewhere imo..
  4. Not sure why Woryna would have to start at reserve. If he did he would probably be only there until the first set of green sheets. Would have thought he would start as second string along with Jack Holder.
  5. Our three heat leaders of Kurtz, Holder and perhaps Magic, backed up with Jack Holder, Woryna and Shanes plus one other. That would certainly be a powerful team.
  6. No. It favours tracks with a big home advantage. Its right as it is now.
  7. Don’t give up the day job Andy! A shame the club didn’t have a comp. I sit with a very good graphic designer who is “tumbler” and would have made something on trend. Of course everyone has their own opinion on what they want to see so what one person likes another will despise.
  8. http://www.poolepirates.co/files/PiratesLogo2018_poolespeedwaylores.jpg Have to be honest. Not very impressed at all. Looks like last years logo pasted inside a back background sheild with a scoll through the font list to find one that looks rustic. Fifteen minutes and job done. Might have been designed by some bloke with training and designed Manchester Citys logo but doesn't make me think, wow thats cool. And whats with the black? Think Matt would have done better by asking Poole fans come up with a design.
  9. Can’t believe any Poole fan wouldn’t want CH back in the team, especially on that ridiculously low average. A number one riding as 2nd or third heat leader! Sure he had a bad season in 2017 but Poole is his home and he is far better than his recent form has shown. Would be very pleased if he returned to back up our number one.
  10. Have I missed something? If you are talking about Vaculik to Poole I dont beive that was ever going to be the case. Just certain fans on here putting two and two together and getting 5. Alternatively, Poole might have been after Vaculik but wouldnt bow down to his wage demands. Matt is never one to pay over the odds and especially so now there is no TV money (and no league racing on tv any more) which leads to less sponsorship money. On another note the the first REF night at Poole stadium this Wednesday 8th November, doors open at 7 pm starts at 7.30. A general knowledge quiz night always a bit of fun with prizes and nearly always some morsels of info about next season.
  11. The problem will arise if the British top flight is Mondays and Thursdays, then Polish tv decide they want to show a meeting on a Thursday and so it is re-arranged with a couple of weeks notice. But a rider in one of the Polish teams is due to line up for his British club in England on the same night. And the fixture has been in the calander since before the season started.
  12. No I just say it as I see it. Calling a Poole legend and world champion a “whinging coward” on a Poole thread is only going to encite a reaction and brings nothing to a debate. Still, he will be banned again soon enough and this time for good hopefully. He just doesn’t seem to know when to wind his neck in.
  13. Yes Woryna all done and dusted. I see Gavan is back from his enforced layoff after a lengthy ban and already trolling on here again with the above post. Had to laugh when he put that he wasn't banned at all. He will probably come back saying that calling Chris Holder a 'whinging coward' on the Poole thread is not trolling but its there for all to see. I call that trolling to get a reaction and it won't be long until he takes another break.
  14. I said yesterday that Vaculik was not the type of rider Poole were likely to go for but some fans on here couldn’t see that. Whilst a good signing for Leicester and will be their number one, he has no experience on British tracks and 2018 will be a big learning curve. There are better options out there for Poole and people need to be patient. Matt will not show his hand before the agm unless the points limit has been confirmed, so it’s a case of just waiting. And you know its drip fed for maximum exposure in the local media.
  15. Very pleased that Leicester have shown some real initiative and signed Vaculik. So that means NKI to Kings Lynn. Not sure he will keep his average, which must be known to the Leicester management, but fresh faces in the top flight is good to see.
  16. Not sure that is true to be honest. He hasn’t improved in the last few seasons and has found a level just below the top riders. Similar in ability to the likes of Kildemand but without UK track knowledge.
  17. Where does it say Vaculik to Poole? Just because a local reporter said he was riding in the UK doesn't mean its to Poole. Not even sure a rider like Vaculik would be a good Poole fit to be honest. Will have at least an 8 average, possibly 9, which would be a struggle to maintain or even get close to on his first season. Hopefully he is going to Lynn.
  18. I said I DON’T know it, so following your knowledge of knowing the Poole team, you believe I do but am not telling? You couldn’t make it up!
  19. There’s definately an atmosphere there. 80% nitrogen and 20% oxygen with a few trace gases.
