Poole Vs Wolves 16/8/17
Steve Shovlar replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No s5it Sherlock! But surely we would rather make the playoffs than not? A failure of a season but still made the playoffs. Shows how high the bar is at Wimborne Road. -
Not at all. You said it was a boring pointless thread, so why comment and post? There's loads of threads on this forum which I find boring and pointless and I don't post on them, as I find them boring and pointless! Not sure why you have to take it the wrong way.

Poole Pirates Vs Leicester Lions 21/8/17
Steve Shovlar replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Reads OK to me. Perhaps you would like me to say, "The engine Jack holder is using this afternoon in Torun is the dogs danglies. He should nick it off Hancock and bring it along to Poole for tomorrows meeting". -

We could do with Jack Holder having that engine he is using today in Poole tomorrow. He is ripping it up in Torun this afternoon. -
Swindon Vs Kings Lynn 21 August 2017
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Chapman needs to apologise quickly Holder and Batchelor and beg them to come back, or this is going to be a massacre! Lol! Seriously, looks a one sided meeting not really worthy of the cameras being present. Hope I am wrong for those sitting on their sofas looking forward to a close meeting. -
What did you hear?

And post after post from Gavan trolling the Poole threads on a one man crusade, this time to slag off Middlo, who most Pirate fans are more than happy with. If Gavan was a Poole fan and he was unhappy with Middlo it would have some credence, but as he is just doing his usual slag off anything Poole, (dressed up as pretend debate) it is meaningless.
-
Nice chap can be clueless as a manager.Never forget Middlo was unavailable and he was in charge of Poole at Coventry for a K O Cup second leg several years ago. We had won the first leg by 22 points. In the second leg We lost Bjarne at about heat 7 to a broken wrist. Lynch made no changes and we lost the meeting by 24 points with three 5-1s in the last three heats. Complete, utter, inept managing.
-
Then listen to your own advice, if you think it boring stay away!
-
Quite simple. Knowing the club and its promotion well. The last time the team failed to perform was 2009. Poole fans know how the club works and Matt Ford has already started his team for 2018. You can be sure it will be a very good team that will challenge for honors. It's what Poole do, isn't it?

Absolutely.

Well done Craig Cook. A Brit in the GP series! -

Cook one win away from a GP place in 2018. Come on Cook. Bang it in. -
Woryna doesn't ride in Sweden at this time. And to be honest watching it on Premier, it doesn't look like it is dripping in cash. In fact I would go as far as to say with the riders in the Swedish league, it looks completely unsustainable. If Poland insist that riders can only ride in one other country then the UK may well be the place for young Polish riders to try to head to gain experience.
-
Then the answer is don't read and come and debate on this thread. Simple!
-
If a superb signing for 2018 is officially announced we shouldn't debate it?
-
Just a very small taste of Woryna last week riding against "reserves". Semi final. 38 mins 30 secs. Against "reserves" Doyle, Laguta and Holta. Final. Go to 40mins 47secs. Against "reserves" Madsen, Zmarzlik and Dudek. Gavan clearly doesn't watch Polish speedway to realise just how good young Woryna is. Talking about making himself look a pillock. Lol! Drabik also rides as a Polish reserve. Lambert rides in the Polish Third division. Polish reserves like Drabik and Woryna are used to replace top 5 team members during meetings all the time. Perhaps Gavan should watch last Sundays Ribnik v Torun Extraleague meeting where Woryna, (who Gavan thinks is nowhere near as good as Lambert) sees off the Torun team.

Somerset - Swindon 18th Aug 17
Steve Shovlar replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No dispair from me. We were never going to challenge the moment KK showed no interest. If Swindon win it well done to them! Surely they can't possibly lose it now? Twelve in a row? What could possibly go wrong? Time for the champagne to be popped? -

Musiliak has made such a difference. From also rans to Champions with one swap out. -
Absolutely. He will get to the Harris / Nicholls standard I am sure.

I don't think it helped Kyle very much for his partner to throw a major wobbly on social media when Kyle lost his place. Always better to say nothing or just say you are disappointed and hope to be back in the future no matter how you are feeling then let a close family member run wild on twitter/facebook. That would have done Kyle no favours at all. I was just using those riders as an example. You can pick out the ones in the Poole team without me naming them.
-
Absolutely. No MadsK, Llung, Sedgmen etc. What highly rated Poles were in that then?
-
Matt Ford told the Polish league to stuff off when they phoned him earlier this season. I don't see him changing his view.
