  1. If Rye now don't win tonight they don't deserve 4th. Looks like it is now being handed to them on a plate.
  2. So whats the point then? Of course I want Pirates to be in it even if we get turned over in the semis. If you are in it you have a shot. It ain't over until the fat lady sings and although our chances are getting less by the minute with two riders missing at Somerset, we might still make it through. Look what happened to us and Swindon in the playoffs. Clear at the top but failed to be champions. Never give up. it isn't over yet. Keep fighting. Don't accept defeat even if it looks likely.
  3. Looks like the rain is now clearing Peterborough to give a dry late afternoon and evening. No late dash for some of the riders.
  4. Rain has now cleared away and its now dry outside. Less rain than expected. All systems go for three points.
  5. Wolves is a dreadful track to watch speedway. Absolutely awful. The sport should be named slowway around monmore. Some people like it but I for one would not like to watch that every week. I prefer bigger faster tracks with proper racing. Just my opinion of course. I am not talking about track prep but the actual racing. Like having the Brighton Bonanza as your home track.
  6. No. Time to move on. CH was a good servant to Poole but no point in looking back. Time for a new number one.
  7. Been raining for about 3 hours but it's light stuff to water the track. Should clear in the next couple and doubt the meeting will be at risk.
  8. Rye and BV fans will just have to accept it and get in with what they have. You don't hear Poole fans bleating about Starke, who is also missing. Perhaps rye fans have something in common with the Aussie riders. Bunch of whingers!
  9. Rye is not a very good racetrack. Occasional good meeting but if on the slick side a rider gates and goes wide and no one can catch him. Inferior riders like Morley not being caught because they ride wide. Its not the worst though. We are blessed at Poole to see good racing most weeks with passing off all four bends. Prefer the track a little on the bumpy side myself, as Hans says, to increase the home advantage. When it was ironed out what happened?
  10. Of course they will. I doubt Swindon will get close to a point at Rye House and will be the reason why they will choose Belle Vue in the semis. Rye are favourites for 4th as they should win their remaining meetings and Poole have a tough ask at Somerset without Holder. It beggers belief that he is missing such an important fixture just to travel out to Poland. Surely he could have made arrangements for his gear to go and he to fly out with Brady. Not sure missing this meeting will go down very well with Matt when it comes to team planning for 2018 to be honest.
  11. Oh dear. What a shame. Never mind. If Rye want 4th they should win tonight against a crumbling Belle Vue. Belle Vue are without Worrall, but don't let that get in the way of your bent perspective. Rye could have booked a guest but haven't bothered. The rules clearly state Peterborough have the use of Harris.
  12. Really? One of the best tracks in the league imo and I have visited all, some many times.
  13. Rain from 9 until 3ish then dry so hopefully it will go ahead.
  14. Well said Sidney. Very few Poole fans would want to see Middlo step down. Has a superb record second to none, and can only work with the riders he is given. I spoke to him yesterday and said to him we are not going to win it this year. Believe me, he believes Poole can still be champions this season. It ain't over till its over and you never know what might happen in a playoff. A rider has a blinder. A rider has a bad meeting or there's an injury and the whole tie can swing. Got to be in it to win it though.
  15. What about Timo? Absolute bargain on his current average.
  16. What needs to be taken into consideration is that Poole did to Belle Vue yesterday what Rye did to Poole. Rye might have looked great last night but Poole beat playoff team Belle Vue by a good margin as well just a few hours earlier. 4th place is all to play for and in Poole's hands. If we are pipped by Rye it will be well done to them.
  17. Should be three points to Pirates. Don't see Kings Lynn as a serious threat on Wednesday. Be a lot harder 24 hours later. Forecast isn't great on Wednesday though.
  18. Kurtz riding at Somerset as has equipment in Poland already. Holder has to drive out to Poland in his van Friday.
  19. Well we tried but as expected came away with nothing. Luckily no injuries for our four fallers. Need to do the double over Kings Lynn Wednesday and Thursday now and hopefully Somerset Friday. No Starke Wednesday and no Holder Friday.
  20. Lasse Bjerre was booked to ride for Somerset in the second meeting tonight at Swindon. It seems he has refused to ride forcing Somerset to go with 5 riders only with no rider at number two. He is at the track. Thoughts? Is it up to him or has he let Somerset down?
