  1. Of course they will. I doubt Swindon will get close to a point at Rye House and will be the reason why they will choose Belle Vue in the semis. Rye are favourites for 4th as they should win their remaining meetings and Poole have a tough ask at Somerset without Holder. It beggers belief that he is missing such an important fixture just to travel out to Poland. Surely he could have made arrangements for his gear to go and he to fly out with Brady. Not sure missing this meeting will go down very well with Matt when it comes to team planning for 2018 to be honest.
  2. Oh dear. What a shame. Never mind. If Rye want 4th they should win tonight against a crumbling Belle Vue. Belle Vue are without Worrall, but don't let that get in the way of your bent perspective. Rye could have booked a guest but haven't bothered. The rules clearly state Peterborough have the use of Harris.
  3. Really? One of the best tracks in the league imo and I have visited all, some many times.
  4. Rain from 9 until 3ish then dry so hopefully it will go ahead.
  5. Well said Sidney. Very few Poole fans would want to see Middlo step down. Has a superb record second to none, and can only work with the riders he is given. I spoke to him yesterday and said to him we are not going to win it this year. Believe me, he believes Poole can still be champions this season. It ain't over till its over and you never know what might happen in a playoff. A rider has a blinder. A rider has a bad meeting or there's an injury and the whole tie can swing. Got to be in it to win it though.
  6. What about Timo? Absolute bargain on his current average.
  7. What needs to be taken into consideration is that Poole did to Belle Vue yesterday what Rye did to Poole. Rye might have looked great last night but Poole beat playoff team Belle Vue by a good margin as well just a few hours earlier. 4th place is all to play for and in Poole's hands. If we are pipped by Rye it will be well done to them.
  8. Should be three points to Pirates. Don't see Kings Lynn as a serious threat on Wednesday. Be a lot harder 24 hours later. Forecast isn't great on Wednesday though.
  9. Kurtz riding at Somerset as has equipment in Poland already. Holder has to drive out to Poland in his van Friday.
  10. Well we tried but as expected came away with nothing. Luckily no injuries for our four fallers. Need to do the double over Kings Lynn Wednesday and Thursday now and hopefully Somerset Friday. No Starke Wednesday and no Holder Friday.
  11. Lasse Bjerre was booked to ride for Somerset in the second meeting tonight at Swindon. It seems he has refused to ride forcing Somerset to go with 5 riders only with no rider at number two. He is at the track. Thoughts? Is it up to him or has he let Somerset down?
  12. On the way up now. Just passing Fleet clear so far. Heavy traffic on m25.
  13. Well three weeks ago Pirates would probably have crumbled and lost that meeting. But now they seem to have lots of fighting spirit back. Not enough to challenge for the title but enough to hold our heads up with some pride. The 30-60 debacle seems an age ago. Middlo working his magic and its now rubbing off on the riders, proving just how important he is to the Poole club. And long may he remain. With Poole starting like a train it looked good but BV fought their way back as the track slickened off. When they took the lead it looked like they would romp away with it but Pirates dug deep and battled hard to win it with a race to go. For Poole Brady was good until it slicked off then rode well in heat 15 to deny BV a losing point. Holder rode well and had a titanic battle with Cook in one heat where Cook knocked him out of the way. Holder could have laid it down but stayed on. He did the dying swan in his next to get a rerun but justice was served as Brady failed to capitalise on the second chance. Starke was poor bar one ride. Kennett battled very well. Andersen. Rode poorly in his first two. He had an almighty tussle with Cook where ge cut off Cooks run allowing Lahti through. He is better when he comes off the white line. Lahti was very good. Much improved from a few weeks ago. Shanes was excellent. Battled all the way. For BV Bjerre was useless. Didn't like it at all. Worrall was excellent. Big score fully deserved. Tungate was very good. Best seen him at Poole. Cook battled but pulled up twice and outthought and outfought. Bewley found it too tough. Smith is out of his depth. Great win for Pirates. Need to try and get a point tonight. Not going to be easy or expected to be honest.
  14. Correct. Nothing to do with choking. Belle Vue are a better team as the league shows. Rye clearly have the upper hand as anyone can see. Plus strengthened now with KK. Should imagine Swindon fans would rather come to Poole in the playoffs than Rye House. Margaret Vardy is ref. We asked her if it could be over quickly today and she said as a woman she is used to hearing men say that. Lol! All riders here. Cook and Worrall seem fine.
  15. A beautiful hot sunny day down here in gods county. Hope the track staff have been up early putting water down or it will get dusty very quickly. Track curators nightmare conditions weather wise. Should imagine it will slicken off pretty quickly so our boys will need our gating gloves on, something they have left in the locker room for much of this season. After today it should be clearer who gets fourth. A defeat this morning will more or less end any lingering chances we have of making the playoffs.
  16. Just got around to watching this GP. Was a total crock of crap. Worst GP so far with very little in the way of entertainment. Most races over down the back straight of lap one unless it had Janowski in it on his Brian the Snail bikes. Talk about having rubbish engines when it really mattered. Something went seriously wrong there allowing Doyle to make up for his duff GP last time. Why on earth did the Gorzow track staff produce such a poor race track?
  17. Who would have thunk it? Well done Leicester! Lasse Bjerre showing his brother how to do it! Belle Vue imploding at the wrong time!
