  1. Fabulous news. Said I would never go there again if the track was left as it was, so I can know add the trip back into my diary. Hopefully rather than just bringing in the bends, some thought could go into the shape to make as many racing lines as is physically possible.
  2. Speedway quiz tonight at the stadium. Expect another packed room.
  3. So true. Anyway where is Starman? He has gone very quiet recently.
  4. Thinking exactly that. Would bring the cost right down on sorting ghat carbuncle of a track.
  5. Certainly the right call to have KK this season due to the extra points which will allow a scoring reserve all the time. If we had used Holder we would have been very weak at the bottom end.
  6. Cribb on his ice bike would lap 'em both!
  7. Nothing to do with blue blindness. Just common sense. If both are riding at number one there is only one choice. It doesn't matter if Cook rides Monmore better than KK. At the end of the season KK will likely have a higher average than Cook, meaning he will score more points at other tracks as well as being strong at home. It really is a no brainer, whether you like Cook over KK or not!
  8. Actually Matt Ford has missed a massive opportunity here. He should have signed Cook over KK. Then done a roaring trade in the track shop selling white flags. Seriously, Cook might well be 100% commited which is great to see. The problem is his ability on a bike, which comes up just short of top rider. If he was 22-23 years old then I would say there's more to come. But he came into the sport too late. He is 30 in May. He has never ridden overseas to push on and even last season rode PL.
  9. He probably could have but the problems arose early last season with Matt and Noddy clasing which festered and brought about the change to KK. Perhaps time away from Poole will help Noddy In both his professional and personal life. Theres no doubt 2016 was not a happy time in his life and affected his racing. Nothing would be better than to welcome him back in a years time with his personal issues all behind him. In the meantime I will still be 100% behind him in his GP endeavours.
  10. I agree a silly thread. One was runner up to Hancock in the gp series in 2014, the other a second string/heat leader who has never ridden outside the UK. Guess we will see who finishes with the higher average in 2017 in the UK. Think we know the answer to this already.
  11. Fricke should stick two fingers up to the Polish rules and see if his Polish team has the guts to drop him. Doubt they will.
  12. I agree with that. But that isn't the point that was being made.
  13. You want to drag it out I am happy to. You made a fool of yourself by saying Cook is better than KK. Saying you would take Cook 100 times out of 100 over KK says you think Cook is the better rider as no one with a modicum of common sense would choose an inferior rider. Just admit that your dislike of KK, well documented on here, has clouded your judgement.
  14. You wrote quite clearly, "I would take Cook over KK 100 times out of 100". I didn't misread it. You said it. However, its a pointless argument cluttering up the Belle Vue thread and I don't want to turn this into anothe Gavan V Starman or whoever he is trolling so will leave it there. Where is Kirby? Never heard of the place.
  15. Clearly he is not. Seen some spectacular passing from KK. Last year at Poole he had Holder for breakfast. Noddy couldn't keep him out.
  16. You wrote, just a few days ago on this very forum, that if you had a choice of KK or Cook, you would pick Cook 100 times out of 100. To me, and others, that reads that you think Cook is a better rider than KK. So there you go. I have corrected you and await your apology. Or are you going to scamper off and alter your post? If given the choice you don't pick the lesser rider. You are known on here to be vocal against KK as Gavan is to Poole and the reason I don't read or respond to the trolls anti Poole rhetoric.
  17. I see Gavan said, in his own words, "My opinion is that if Belle Vue had a top 3 of Cook, Fricke and Worrall then in my view it would be as good as if not better than Pooles." If Pooles top three was Cook Fricke and Worrall I think 99% of Poole fans would think what a load of crap what the hell is going on? and think Matt Ford has lost his marbles! No one with any kind of speedway brain would put those three over Pooles heat leaders. Well perhaps Gavan and Steve brum who somehow thinks Cook is better than KK. At least you see through Gavans anti Poole rhetoric waihekeaces1. As for Bridger living in Manchester, he must be in a tiny minority who move from the south coast to north west. Most Mancs live in Boscombe!
  18. For someone to say Cook is as good as Kk is ridiculous. Like saying AFC Bournemouth are as good as Arsenal. Occassionally able to match them over one match but always behind. One having been 2nd in the world while the other can't even get a ride abroad. Fricke is going places and will be BV's shining light. But now this is their second season there is no excuse with the track. A season riding on it brings lots of home advantage with setups and racing lines. They can't fall back on that old chestnut this time around. Struggling to see where heat advantages are going to come from. Unless they sign a proper number one they won't reach the heights of last season. Just my opinion of course But Cooks 100% is probably KK's 70%. No comparison between the two riders. You should be comparing Cook to King and Batchelor.
  19. If its Cook, Fricke and Steve Worral they will be battling with Leicester for the wooden spoon. Can't see Cook getting any better. Fricke yes loads of improvement. Worrall, reckon he is at his peak as well. The problem of trying to put together a team late in the day.
  20. What are you on about? Scabby armchairs? I am an art dealer not furniture. Why would I wish them luck? Now they are all sorted pleasantries are over. I hope and expect us to stuff 'em!
  21. It is a poor team. Poole will have them for breakfast and it will be a rout at Wimborne Road.
  22. If Lebedevs starts at reserve it gives them the opportunity to use him seven times but he will soon be up in the team. Think they lack top end fire power.
  23. I should imagine most of the artwork I sell is out of your range and the pockets of the average working person. Still if you think fine art is tat you are entitled to your opinion.
  24. What have I acheived in life? An awful lot thank you very much! On topic Leicester at or near the bottom again
  25. I do keep up. The infamous vote of confidence. Leicester going down and the owners doing nothing until its too late. Vardy a one season wonder. Glug glug glug.....
