How can you defend Sandhu? 100% the reason Coventry are defunct.
-
Is there mass unemployment in Coventry? Because who the hell can get to Brandon for 3.30 pm on a week day?
-
Agree. There are a lot of angry people about at the moment but the bspa should not be blamed. Why on earth would they want a club to close? Imo they fell over backwatds to give as much time as possible.
-
I understand that. But. What is the point of living in a place where there is nothing social to do? Go to work come home to your Wimpey home. Go out? Where? its just houses. A society needs activities to attend. No point work, home, tv, bed, work, ...
-
Didn't Horton say Sandhu was helping with some type of financial input, and this has now been withdrawn?
-
Been out and just got in to read this news. Sad but expected. The minute Sandhu vandalised the stadium was the minute the club died. You dont remove your belongings by ripping out seats and smashing them up. Or use a grinder to cut down every lighting stantion. That was pure vandalism. He knew what he was doing. Making sure the damage was enough to spell the end for the speedway. He succeeded. The talk of putting it all back was always bs. I am convinced Brandon Estates is Sandhu. Otherwise why would a building company hide itself away in Jersey so no one could discover the owners? Brandon Estates would have no reason to hide who owns it, unless it was Sandhu. All this Brandon estates not allowing Sandhu into the stadium is utter guff. I can't blame Horton. Not his fault this Sandhu vandalised his stadium. There's only one person to blame and that is Sandhu. He vandalised the stadium, pure and simple. The move to Leicester was never going to work. When Horton said at the fans meeting recently that Brandon was off the table for this season I just knew this was coming. Sorry for the riders who are stuffed. Sorry for the fans who now have no team. Some can migrate to Leicester to get their fix but its not the same as supporting your own club. I hope the council get tough with the owners of the stadium and refuse point blank any planning permission for housing. Coventry isn't much of a hot spot for sport. Football and speedway knackered. Wasps enjoying a honeymoon period as new to the area but rugby is pretty boring to watch and that novelty will soon wear off. I enjoyed my trips to Brandon and the victories. They will be sorely missed.

Grand Prix Challenge 2017
Steve Shovlar replied to STEPHEN 333's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Yes looked at it and its £279 return which isn't bad considering the distance. Finair or Aeroflot. Includes a 2 hour wait at Moscow. Only downside is flight times. Most are over nighters and very early returns. The return is like 6 am from Samara on Sunday. Now if the meeting was rained off its a long trip for nothing so you could put back to the Monday. So you would have the Sunday to kill in a Russian town in the backside of nowhere. -
Grand Prix Challenge 2017

Easiest route to get there? -
Far be it from me to defend Starman but badly bullied he most certainly was. Perhaps if you and Gavan didn't find every given opportunity to attack his intellect and ridicule him he would never have had the reason to attack back. Well you and others finally Succeeded and managed to stop him posting so you can be proud that your bully boy tactics finally worked.
-
Ha! Says the person who sat in front of a group of us forum members and couldn't be bothered to introduce himself. Instead got in a tizzy and stormed off muttering under his breath before the final heat. A shame as we don't bite and have good banter with other bsf members when they come down, inc Scb and bv fans and they are bigger rivals to us than Swindon. Just dont like people laughing at a riders serious hand injury. He says he didn't mean it that way so I will accept that.
-
I dont read his posts but just unblocked him to read it and yes, the number one Starman bully and Poole troll is trying to defend his bullying. He doesn't seem to realise that when he bullies someone, along with certain others on here, the person being bullied is bound to verbally retaliate. Which leads to the bullys then ridiculing the victim further by taking the P out of spelling and grammar mistakes.
-
Made a twát of yourself? I dont and never have used twitter. Did you open that fake account? It has been widely mentoned in the past that someone did it as a joke. Funny how I called someone out for laughing at a serious injury to Hans Andersen and all the usual suspects come running. No Starman to bully eh? They managed to finally wear him down and should be ashamed at their continuous bullying of the guy. Mike might not be the sharpest tool in the box on here but the abuse thrown at him over the months was a disgrace to be honest and some on here should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and their bully boy abuse which was like a wolf pack at times. But perhaps these people are the type that were in a gang at school who pushed speccy over in the playground, pulled him by his tie and stole his dinner money.
-
So with the spite Sandhu showed by vandalising the stadium he has succeeded in bringing an end to Brandon stadium. Words can't discribe what I think of him.
-
Re-read my post. I was discussing Hans Andersen's injury. You can try and wriggle but you and the others are clearly in the wrong. Disgraceful to be honest.
-
Now thats whats called getting on with it.
-
Considering the meeting is an open forum and there are people not able to attend because its a full house, asking to not film is pi55 poor. These new people come from a corporate background but need to realise sport is a different type of business with fans. Do they expect to say things that won't go reported? Poor start.
-
Sorry you replied to my post about a serious hand injury to Andersen which ended our hopes, and you replied, "and how we laughed". No other way to read it. No. My post was on about Hans hand injury as that is what the thread is currently talking about. Perhaps he didn't mean it quite the way he meant but that's how it read.
-
Nice to see that you and the others who liked your post laughed at a very serious hand injury to a rider.
-
Just shows how serious his injury was and the detrimental effect it had on our chances of retaining the title. And some on here believe we went into the playoffs at full strength.

Anyone going to stream the event on periscope or Facebook live?

Will Coventry Complete The Season?
Steve Shovlar replied to Agrotron's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Very negative thread. -
I would if I was closer. Great to see this long overdue track work being carried out. 6 metres in is a fair old chunk which should have a knock on effect of reducing the length of those too long straights. Once the work is complete I really do hope it will give more racing lines for the riders which will leas to more passing, better entertainment and happier fans.
-
Super news. Hope the shape changes turn one of the worst tracks into one of the best.
-
Horton won't go bankrupt. He will pull the plug once the club start losing club money. Not his own which would be quite safe.

Your 2017 Prem Winners.
Steve Shovlar replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pleased to read on here that Poole are not favourites this year. This thread shows many don't rate the Poole team very highly. So clearly if we pull away at the top and win the league, we will have done it against all the odds, with the team raising their game and Middlo playing a blinder as team manager. Matt Ford will come in for huge praise from all and sundry for putting together a team that many thought was not good enough. Personally, I think we have easily the best team of those announced so far. Andersen may be passed his peak, but against the weaker opposition in this years lineups he is still better than the majority. Guess we will soon see in the ES.Bring it on!
