So I guess that is Darcy. As he has been humiliated and lost his job as promoter, I should imagine he will sue for some serious compensation.
-
What has happened? Chapman sold out before a wheel has turned? Darcy quit over Coventry travk sharing? Gets muddier by the minute!
-
Hemsley has leased the stadium. Any deals would be between the leaseholder, Chapman, and Horton.
-
Crap facilities? Last time I was at Leicester they had seats in the stand.
-
Didn't think Sandhu was allowed to have anything to do with a club. Wasn't he banned with Trump back in the day?
-
Shouldn't think so. The stadium is being leased by Chapman for 15 years. Should imagine the rent will go to him.
-
Lets hope its nothing too serious and he can start the season.
-
A very interesting line there Flagrag. Has he bought in to Hortons promotion?
-
A few thoughts after reading this. So Sandhu and Horton have patched up their differences. So why isn't Sandhu, with immediate effect, making good the vandalism to Brandon his thugs did at the end of last year? So Coventry will ride on Fridays. When are Leicester taking to the track? What about Leicester stadium usage? Does planning permission allow for double the amount of meetings should Coventry not be able to move back? What about Dave Darcy? He was adamant that Coventry would not share with Leicester. What about Brandon estates? Were they part of these intense nogotiations? No point in all these talks if they are going to turn around and say you had your chance we are now not prepared to give anyone a lease. Clearly there's an awful lot to debate and lots more talking to be had. But at least they are coming to tapes in 2017 so that in itself is good news, though you would struggle to believe it by the messages from Coventry fans so far posted. Leicester is a 30 minute car journey. Its literally just up the road and motorway all the way. It couldn't be easier to get to from Brandon. Obviously coaches need to be laid on, free of charge, from Brandon to Leicester every race night. Then there is no excuse for fans to moan. The news could have been far worse and I get the feeling some on here would have liked to have seen this as the end. A couple of other thoughts. Perhaps Leicester season ticket holders can gain entry to Coventry meetings free of charge. Perhaps as a thank you to Leicester, Horton can pay for half the track reshaping desperately needed. Good news for fans, good news for Leicester with extra rent coming in. Now its time for Leicester to announce their team and race night, which I should imagine will be a Saturday night.

Not sure what to make of your post flagrag. Can't see how a serious issue can please some fans at all.

Serious questions need to be asked about the new stadium. If everything is above board then the construction company will be able to say exactly when this kit form stadium is going to start to arrive. As it currently stands about one days work has taken place. These workman are there for no other purpose but to look like something is happening, when in reality they have move a few stones about with some metal railings. This kids no one.

It sounds complicated. It is clicking a button on an app. Go to appstore and search for freevpn. Download and open it. From the drop down menu choose east coast usa. Then connect. Job done. All those youtube music streams that vanished for uk residents suddenly reappear and work again. Theft? Well its free in the usa so why should us Brits be ripped off? I'll let you know tomorrow.

So how can Darcy say he is the new promoter at Leicester if he hasn't got the money to pay for the lease? Surely before announcing he is the new man he would have all his finances in place? Or is he just a chancer who saw an opportunity and blagged it? I can't believe the BSPA would allow him to get so far without his finances being thoroughly vetted. If he is financially capable and is then pushed aside, he would certainly have a case to seek compensation, unless he was just a puppet promoter employed by Chapman as a front man. It just gets messier by the day. The crap is really about to hit the fan(s).
-
It can't be called Leicester Bees. That would alienate both sets of fans. If the team is moved to Leicester thats the end of Coventry Bees. Hope that isn't the final scenario. But who would Leicester want in charge? Horton or Darcy?

I said EXACTLY this a week ago to howls of derision. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=82240&view=findpost&p=2909659

Sorry but I am not going to stop watch Polish speedway meetings on illegal streams. I doubt the Polish authorities are too bothered about a few hundred Brits enjoying their league. The SGP is available on Youtube in HD in many regions. Simply loging on through a vpn gets around the problem for UK citizens, though I myself have BT Sports.
-
Lol! Next you will be towing the government line that any money these people make fund drugs and terrorism. But to fund crime surely you have to pay for it. Truth is I dont pay the £120 a year for the 3'oclocks because its not available to me. But I do watch the football on FS1 and BT, which I get for free due to being a customer of theirs. Indon't have to watch Sky for the football.
-
I don't think advertisers would be in the slightest bit bothered. In fact their adverts go out to an even wider audience as there are many people who would never consider or be in a position, (out of the uk) to buy a Sky subscription. Advertisers actually benefit from illegal streams, strange as that would seem. The premier league sell their match day pass to every country except the UK. For £120 a year you have EVERY PL match screened live in HD and 4k where available. Sorry this is so far off topic. Not much Poole news at the moment while we wait for other clubs to sort themselves out.
-
Their commercial viability might be more at risk because they ludicrously are prepared to pay literally billions for the premier football. A few folk getting a free ride through openbox or kodi is probably a knats bite on an elephant.
-
So you are paid on how many watch the show? A type of commission so a thousand who watch on an illegal stream cost you 3 quid? Can't see how people are stealing from you if you are being paid for the work you do. You are paid for it so it is no longer your property. The company that pay you a wage or for your work might be affected but not someone who has designed a graphic. No point bleating about illegal streams. That horse has bolted from the stables years ago. The occassional streamer (one who streams the illegal content, not the viewer) might get caught once in a blue moon and banged up for 6 weeks as a deterent to others but it won't stop them. Sportsmania haven't been closed down and they take debit cards for subscriptions!

Piracy has gone on for years and will forever continue. Sky, BT etc know this. But they are offshore behind vpns and its a hell of a job to get them closed. And even when they are successful the pirate will just open up again on a new server. I don't subscribe to Sky because it doesn't offer me anything I want to watch. I get BT for free. Most sport is through foreign channels. The 3 o'clock kickoffs are not Sky or BT. There's a multitude of channels offering the 3 o'clocks in HD. As this service is not available in the uk I am not ripping off any uk ppv channel. It is extremely easy to get every channel on astra for next to nothing in no time. Buy an openbox satellite receiver off ebay, then buy a Sky Gift off ebay for a tenner, put in the code and voila, all channels for free, without a kodi box. And you don't have to be tech savvy its so easy. Sky must know but don't close down the ebay gift sellers. As for my Porsche, no boasting at all. Just my daily use car at the time. Work hard, get the rewards. My priorities now are elsewhere.

Arctic silver 911 Turbo.

Remember doing Hull to Poole in three hours. Certainly wouldn't go that fast today. Madness to be honest. Asking to be banned. It was a lovely motor.

Of course they do. I nearly bought one 15 years ago. Took one for a test drive as well. Ended up buying the new at the time Porsche Turbo which gave me great fun, as well as being completely reliable. The Ferrari was a pain to get in and out of, as well as very noisy. Might have turned more heads but would have cost a stack more in maintainence.
