  1. I think you might be. Give me a couple of months practice on a speedway bike and I bet you if I went the fastest I could, the chances are I would be lapped by Shanes before the end of the race. Shanes was the only rider to beat Ellis at Eastbourne. Sure he and other two pointers are going to find it hard to score but Shanes has potential. To compare him to Lambert at this stage of his career is stupid though.
  2. What I meant by an NL rider would have them for breakfast was if he was on his speedway bike. These mx bikes cant properly broadside and look nowhere near as quick as a speedway bike. It just looks crap. Imo.
  3. Nobody is putting him down but to say he is the next best thing is ridiculous. The story might be different if he could gate. Does anyone think he can compete with Dudek, Holder, Helium etc in a couple of years time?
  4. Cant see Lambert being any better than Harris. His gating is atrocious and you can't give top fivers a couple of bikes lead by the first bend and expect to get it back.
  5. Sure Noddy was critical at one stage last year but the track was sorted. Kings Lynn used to be a good race track but over the last few years the Kings Lynn fans have been moaning about lack of passing. In my last 4 visits I can confirm that has been the case. In comparison, the Poole track brings up superb racing virtually every week. I hope the Kings Lynn track will be sorted this winter and get back to the good race track it once was. As it is now, its one of the poorer tracks in the top flight.
  6. Having watched it on youtube, I have come to the conclusion that its a load of crap. A NL rider on a speedway bike would have any of these for breakfast. Hardly any passing, and no dirt. Can't see anyone turning up in the UK to watch this. Only benefit would be to introduce mx riders into speedway.
  7. One thing does need to be said. Chris Holder is immensely popular at Poole and forever will be. He is a club legend and Poole fans regard him with utter respect. There should be no bitterness or arguments between Poole and Kings Lynn fans because he is no longer riding for Poole. I am sure many Poole fans will still support Noddy in the GP series as will Kings Lynn fans. A true servant to British speedway. Hopefully he will come back to Poole in future years but I would rather he was riding for another UK club than lost to the UK. I for one wish him every success in 2017.
  8. I see Freddie Lindgren was in last years final. A very poor mans speedway.
  9. The Polish speedway authorities are NOT higher than EU employment laws, even if they like to think they are. A speedway authority has no power to demand where someone works. They cannot dictate which leagues riders can and cannot ride in.
  10. Iversen doesn't HAVE to ride in Denmark. He could have chosen Kings Lynn over his Danish club. Of course it would have upset his Danish fans as Woofinden has to British fans over here, but nothing to stop him riding for Lynn other than his will not to.
  11. That could well be true. But, the extra .65-.85 of a point higher average he might get over KK, is completely lost by the 1.5 + saving Poole made. Chris Holder is not 1.5 better than KK, so Poole get the advantage of KKs lower starting average. If Chris Holder finishes the season 1.5 higher average than KK, we would still have been better off with KK, as with Chris Matt Ford would not have been able to put together the team he has 100% the right call for Poole to use KK.
  12. All riders have blips. Holder in the semis at Monmore. Holder at Swindon. Even Rickardsson had the occassional mare. The extra points gained by sacrificing Holder for KK could prove crucial during the season. It gives us a reserve who can score points all the way through, whether its Klindt, Newman, Holder or Kurtz. With Chris in the team we would not have that luxury. With Kings Lynn going for Chris, it means Rose is in the top 5. Whilst that may be ok at home, away its a different story. Still, until I see that BV and Leicester teams, a top four of Poole, Rye House, Kings Lynn and perhaps Wolves looks likely.
  13. I am not ine to spend hours going back searching for the posts but it was reported on this forum on two seperate occasions last season, by Kings Lynn fans.
  14. Rattled my cage? Lol! I applaud the fact that Chis has got himself fixed up in the UK. It would have been a tragedy if he lost our to the new regs. Kings Lynn have a top world star. Whether he ever returns to Poole I have no idea but.I will continue to cheer him on in the GPs. He has probably just increased his fanbase by 100%. I am pretty sure most Poole fans will still continue to cheer him on in his attempt to reclaim a world title. I wish him the very best.
  15. Shortcomings? Struggling to see any actually given the points to play with. So you think its acceptable a rider is canoodling in the pits with his girlfriend between his races? Do you think its professional and acceptable?
  16. Fair point. If I was in Holders position I too would have remained in the UK.
  17. From what I heard it all stemmed back to last Christmas and New Year and Holder upset Matt with drunken behaviour at a party. The two have fallen out and not got on all season. Whilst they miht have had a professional relationship its no good continuing if you are niggling and whinging all the time. I have heard that Chris can be quite high maintenance. Perhaps a break can improve relationships and restore friendships.
  18. So Chris Holder and Troy Batchelor can come all the way to Kings Lynn from Australia, but Lambert can't make it from up the road? Poor show from the lad. Is he still going to be snogging his girlfriend in the pits between his heats or is Rob Lyon going to ban her as she is clearly a distracton. I for one wish Noddy the very best for 2017. I shall still support him in the GPs and hope he brings his A Game to the UK. Kings Lynn gave put together a much better team than last season. With a superstar in Holder leading the team lets hope the crowd respond and turn up in good numbers. They should make the playoffs if they ride to their ability. Good to hear Belle Vue and Leicester are running. Anything said about Coventry?
  19. Decent lineup should make top four if they steer clear of injuries.
  20. They are just trying to defend the undefendable.
  21. Shock! Horror! Probe! A local newspaper runs a sports story. Fans of the club he is going to are angry and annoyed. You couldn't make it up! Lol! Could you imagine Manchester Utd in secret talks with Rinaldo to return and the newspapers getting wind of it? Do you think they would sit on their hands and not report anything until there's a picture of him in a ManU shirt holding a scarf above his head? Some people need to get real with their faux disgust. Or are they completely green behind the ears?
  22. If Bale turned around and said, "sorry, I can't be arsed to play for Wales anymore, the rest of the team are not good enough. I want 70% of the player wages or I won't bother." I should imagine the majority of Welsh fans would be up in arms over his attitude. But that is exactly what happened with Woffinden and the SWC. Stevebrum goes on about him getting the biggest cheer at the British GP. Simply because for a lot of the fans who attend, it is their only meeting of the year. They have no idea of how he has acted towards British Speedway. The apologists can attempt to defend his actions but the rest of us have seen straight through him. Are you going to ride in the British final Tai? If not why not? Are you going to be part of TeamGB Tai? If not why not? Or is it all down to that Abba song? Money Money Money. Thats the reason he won't ride for TeamGB. He wanted a percentage of the winnings equivalent to his points. A real shame a British World Champion is held in such scant regard by the majority of British fans.
  23. If that is the team its not bad and could challenge depending if Batchelor has his mojo back.
  24. Best thing I have read on here for a while. However, it would have been better to have granted the testimonial so we could all boycott it to show how much British fans actually feel about our so called two times world champion, who doesn't give a toss about riding in or supporting this country. Are you riding in the British Final Tai? Are you riding for TeamGB in the SWC? No? Well why should we support some little tatooed sh*t who shows no respect to the country of his birth? Woffinden has to be the most unpopular British World Champion in the history of the sport.
