Six man teams is a crap idea imo. What would be good is to ditch the points limit and let teams pick whatever teams they wish, with the criteria that the reserves are Brits under 25. Yadda yadda to people saying Poole would be riding against themselves.
-
Why is the draft being axed great? It gave the chance and brought on British youngsters.
-
If Milik comes to Poole for 2017 and the edr is being scrapped, he could start at second string with a 5 and a bit average. Ellis and Newman at reserve is a decent start. Jack Holder might be in a reserve berth if not. Holder 8.58 Holder 4.15 Andersen 7.15 Milik 5.17 KK 7.91 Newman 3.69 Ellis 4.00 40.65 Or we could use Kurtz and Gomolski in place of Milik and Ellis is he is recalled to Arena. That side could fit as well.

Great to read Adam Ellis wants to return to Poole. I would have him in the team a flash.
-
There has to be a list, not allocation, which would be unfair on riders.
-
If the edr system is retained, then of course there has to be room for young up and coming riders like Bewley etc. there needs to be a list which includes these riders.
-
And which of these will be replaced by Woffinden a couple of weeks before the playoffs next season?
-
What point are you trying to make here? Individual riders should have their averages assesed by age? That seems fair! Not sure why you have brought two Poles who don't ride here into the argument. If its to show they have more ability its meaningless. Riders develop at different rates before levelling off. Look at Doyle for instance. 31 years old. 7 years ago when he was 24 would you have said he could have been world champion? Of course I am not saying Kyle could get that far but it shows just because there are younger riders in the gp series doesn't mean they can't be surpassed.

This thread is hilarious. Some are saying Newman hasn't improved, but if he has it is marginal. But he hasn't improved as much as Starke, Bates etc and he should therefore have a 5+ average! I doubt there is a Poole fan out there, with the odd weird exception, who wouldn't want Kyle in the 2017 lineup. But if he hasn't improved why would we want him in the team? Lots of strange thinking here. Some say he should be in the top 5, but like someone else has said, averages dictate riding positions and Kyle is likely to be at reserve next season, especially so now that it seems edr is being dropped. Surely having a rider many non Poole fans think hasn't improved over the last three years, is detremental to Poole's 2017 title ambitions? I mean, he has gone backwards in the PL so why are non Poole fans bothered?

No one in the past few posts has mentioned that Kyle has improved as an edr rider. Other riders have been mentioned but not Newman. Has he not improved as an edr? Kyle on 3.79 is about right. He spent more or less the whole season at reserve so was racing against riders of a similar standard. Yes he was beating them as well, so he was one of the better edr riders no doubt about it. But up in the team he struggled in general. He will probably be slightly disappointed in his progression in 2016 but he had two time outs, one life threatening so really he did better than tread water, But in the PL he was racing against other heat leaders and only acheived a 6.3 average. A much clearer reading of his worth. Some have pointed to beating Woffinden from the back around Monmore. It was a fantastic performance. But 9 times out of ten that wouldn't happen. The same equation must be used across the board for all edr riders. You can't single out certain riders because you think they might do better and lumber them with a higher average. As all are Brits the bspa should look favourably on them all. Give all edr's a 3.5 starting average for next season so that none are left by the wayside when it comes to team building averages.
-
If the reserves at the start of the season have to be two Brits he will likely be facing riders of the same standard of this past season. I hope they retain the edr its helped bring on some riders and better to have two Brit edrs than jonny foreigner.
-
If the edr is being scrapped, which would be a huge shame, then the two lowest averaged of the team sit in the reserve berths. Kyles average is low enough that it is more than likely he will be one of the reserves. Unless you want Poole to stick a second string or heat leader in a reserve berth to force Kyle into the top five.
-
I havent responded to any of Gavans posts for months. Got him on block. No point in trying to debate with someone with hatred of all things Poole in his heart.
-
Believe he had offers but no room to fit them into his diary.
-
You cant pick and choose which riders get a reduction and which ones don't. Has to be the same across the board.
-
I am laughing reading the anti Poole brigade running around like headless chickens because Kyle has a sub four average, calling him a ringer etc. Got news for ya. He is a sub four rider. His average proves it and he is one of our reserves next season! All this should be a 5+ is nonsense. Next year hopefully he will be but currently his average doesn't lie.
-
If he improves enough to get out of the reserve berth then great.
-
No. its the way its always been done. The edr average is all over the place with some riders remaining at reserve most of the season while other riders have moved up into the team and remained there.
-
7.08.

Saw a big pile of soil at the end of the carpark.
-
Heard last night that 4 PL clubs are chasing Kyles signature for next season.
-
Went past the stadium day before yesterday and drove into the car park. Absolutely nothing going on.
-
Not sure why some are moaning about Kyle Newman at reserve. He has a pl average so will be a sub 4 pointer. Doubt there will be two riders with a lower average than Kyle so reserve it will be.

Strong rumours tonight at Poole that Rye House replace Leicester in the 2017 EL.
