World Cup Nss Travel, Parking & Info
Steve Shovlar replied to Rob B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Got no choice coming up with shaleshifter who doesn't finish work until 12. Picking him up from Chandlers Ford. Will use M6 toll to speed things along. If we are running late will have to go straight to stadium. -

Thanks for that Rob the maps help no end as having read your post panic was setting in! Not leaving Chandlers Ford until 12.30 so its a dash. 224 miles, 4 hours on a clear run no stops, and then have to go to hotel before stadium. -
You over in France Jonny? Thought you would be here for this as Adam might get a ride.

Park And Ride For Swc
Steve Shovlar replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
But doubt the curry houses are a sellout at 11pm. Lol! i am sure that facility would have been available at the time had you persued it. Did you phone the BSS and ask for disabled car parking when you booked your tickets? Others clearly did and got spaces. Even last Thursday I phoned the stadium and got parking right next door. The tickets came on Monday. Lets be honest here you left it too late and are ranting because you are annoyed with yourself for not sorting it earlier. -
Pardon🤔 You need to read back through. I have certainly lambasted Lambert ( did you see what I did there?) and think he should have been there as well. Selective reading to make some type of point.

Lol! Why not drop the tickets off at the stadium? There will be fans desperate for them and you could get your money back. -

I am sorry but no one to blame but yourself. You simply left it too late and are blaming everyone but you should look at yourself for leaving it so late. Only an ignoramus would do such a thing. Common sense would have been to book the parking the same time as the tickets. -
Park And Ride For Swc

Ridiculous to phone the stadium theee days before a sold out event and expect disabled parking. You left it too late. It is 100% your fault. Use the park and ride and remember to book earlier in future. Nothing to see here. Please move along. -

Well if they went to the trouble of buying a ticket the park and ride isnt going to put them off. Or they could have done what I did, phone the stadium and get tickets to park next door to the NSS for just a tenner for the two days. I can turn up at 6.30 and roll straight in to my parking spot. Lovely.

I can tell you a huge % with that tattoo are ex cons. And most massively regret it as it marks them out from society in later life. I don't think Woffinden will worry about that but people on the street who don't have a clue who he is will draw their own false conclusions.

I see he has posted his new tattoo, in memory of his father which is very nice. However that same tattoo in the same place has a very different meaning.

I get it exactly. I'm just not a Tai aplogist. If he had arranged a practice in Poland for the SWC, then it was a bit foolhardy as the actual track where the event is taking place was available to him. So rather than go all the way to Poland he could have quickly motored up the M6 to practice. The issue is he and Lambert failed to show up at practice. In any other sporting discipline they would have been drummed out of the team snd replaced, but as teamgb are a bit short of quality thats a bit problematic. To say he would have sussed the track in a few laps is fine. He is World Champion so has the ability. But he is also Captain of the team and therefore has the responsibility to other members of the team. Not every rider can suss the fastest way around the track, and so he could have passed on his knowledge and expertise to other members of the team. I Will be there cheering the team on, but this could be humiliating.

The track will measure exactly the same. The banking will be exactly the same. There's a thing called home track advantage. Its where the home riders know the best way around it regardless of conditions. That never changes. The team could have had a full days practice together and taken advice off Cook who had ridden it more than anyone else. By going on holiday, or having a tattoo, instead of using the facility, means that small little advantage they would have picked up is gone. They will go into the meeting with the same knowledge as every other rider, rather than knowing the quickest way around. Really unprofessional. Woffinden now moaning about the haters but really he brings it on himself every time. I am certainly not a hater but he frustrates the hell out of many fans.
