  1. Whatever happens the task is very difficult due to a lack of quality riders especially as poole have got 3 number ones in their proposed team. if your budget is tight and riders are scarce you are going to struggle at this stage However it has been done as hull won the league with a last minute team and Peterborough last year had all the riders nobody wanted. but equally you could end up with a Mildenhall 2008 team which was record breaking all for the wrong reasons
  2. Completely agree. We don’t know if he even wants to ride in the championship let alone actually talk terms to any promotion. I would suggest as he rode for Scunthorpe last year considering they run a tight ship quite rightly he probably is very fair with his wage demands.
  3. I like Starke and do find him entertaining but I’d swap him and use the 1.88 points left over for a 6 pointer which would put heeps at reserve that would change the team from a decent team to a championship winning team.
  4. Jake Allen who has already been announced as being purchased as a Scunthorpe asset several weeks ago
  5. If Scunthorpe can I’m sure it’s possible.
  6. Rules have been bent for many years in pooles favour.
  7. Birmingham really need a big name signing at number one. Smolinski or maybe Kenneth bjerre type signing. Plymouth got bjarne pedersen when no one else thought it was possible. manzaries wants to return to the uk but wasn’t up to standard the last time he rode for Scunthorpe.
  8. As it’s a new promotion I can’t see why he wouldn’t return. you definitely get plenty of effort but he seems to have found his level now. I think there was a huge level of expectancy when he scored 19 pits at Wolverhampton in the play off final. still a very dependable engine room type of rider that every team needs.
  9. Has Jordan Stewart been shown the door is is he choosing not to return to the uk.
  10. It’s not a bad team BUT it could have been so much better
  11. Love to hear the explanation. We are inept maybe ?
  12. From being very excited when Doyle was signed I’m now totally underwhelmed. And a bit angry. Any advantage we had with riders with potential to raise their average is negated with starting two points under the limit.
  13. That as well as hating the new tyres. Absolutely zapped his confidence
  14. He has been released from his Swedish club I believe
  15. The riders are powerless to protest. If they refuse to ride they are given a 28 day ban.
  16. I’d like to know what happened to this season just gone junior league? Not a single fixture was ridden and no explanation from the BSPL must be a massive lump under that carpet by now
  17. Genuine question. Why did Dickson resign ? Was his position untenable as being part owner to going to former owner ? I can imagine if you go from full control of team signings to then managing whoever the new owner has signed must be tough if you don’t agree with the team
  18. Despite Sam ermolenko marking out a proper racetrack I believe DH copied the cycle speedway track he won his world championship on. and the rest is history
  19. Biggest error the management made was replacing Stewart Dickson with cami Brown. does cami have any input on team line ups ? But Glasgow do seem to sign older riders with supposedly bargain averages who fail to improve as age catches up with them.
  20. I would suggest Phil Morris to perhaps be that person. Former rider and shrewd business owner and holds a regular job in speedway at the highest level.
