  1. You can get odds of 200/1 with Ladbrokes that Tai will be S.P.O.T.Y bare in mind it is voted by the general public, the votes will probably be split between Ennis, Cook and Hamilton not sure how many people actually vote in these things but I remember a so called betting sting a few years ago when Ryan Giggs won it Now if every speedway fan in Britain voted a few times for Tai, and cover the cost of the phone bill by having a couple quid on Tai...........
  2. So Kent are back to running Mondays at 6-30? What happened to Fridays, is that dead and buried already?
  3. Agree, that Danny and James alongside Thomas are probably certs, Ben has been amazing for Kent, but his average and career suggest he would be hard to fit in without making the team too top heavy, and should be riding PL I would no way include Aaron, I like him as a rider and person, but like said, misses too many meetings, and his average is quite high considering his worth to the team so 4 new faces, guess we have to see who is running next year to see who is available, would love Ellis perks if he is not at Cradley Wouldn't mind Danno Verge at reserve, feel he was hard done by having to ride at 2 for large parts of last season, but not in the main body of the team, maybe Jack Smith if he's not already signed for anyone
  4. One thing I do know, is that the likes of Nicki Pedersen do make tv appearances in Denmark which are not solely based on speedway He posted something on his facebook account the other week showing him on a pushbike, jousting with someone else in a studio, it looked like a game show similar to question of sport, but was in Danish so can't be sure I can't remember a speedway rider on a chat show, tv game show, or any other celebrity style show in this country with the exception of a program about Tai, and a radio broadcast mid morning just before the Cardiff GP. maybe Denmark doesn't have as many pointless talentless z listers as we seem to have filling our tabloids on a daily basis, their sports stars actually get a bit of coverage on national tv
  5. Personally, I think the ftr1 should be under 25 and ftr2 should be under 21, which would allow for ben morley and james shanes, but as its not the rule, I would like someone with a kent connection As said, they are my preferred choice
  6. Why not James Shanes, He is a Kent asset and only 18,a season in the national league as number 1 and a second string FTR could do him wonders In fact if Newman, Worrall, and Garrity are moved into the main body of their teams I don't see many beating Morley at Central Park, maybe Lewis Kerr and Simon Lambert I understand they wouldn't score heavily away, I'd be happy with any with a Kent connection, including Ayres, Lambert or Boxhall
  7. thanks for the info, much appreciated, when will he decide? do you know
  8. Does anyone know about the fitness of Pavel Przedpelski ? he pulled out halfway through tarnow v torun last week, but i fancy a fully fit pavel to do well tonight, but just noticed his odds drifting on the markets, so maybe not fully fit? thanks
  9. Can't wait personally, elite league speedway on my doorstep, I do worry that if it doesn't work out it could be the end of the kings and thought they would have tried PL first but I think people will come, I will certainly be going more than I do at present As for signings, would love to see 2 of Morley, Shanes or Ayres as 6 and 7 I hope and prey we announce Emil as our number 1, but much more realistically, it could be A.J if he's not required at Lakeside
  10. Called off again Unsure why as it has not rained for a few days, and is not raining today. Maybe some forecast later, Has to be one of the worst individual meetings in history anyhow
  11. King Emil at his best no better rider in the world
  12. yeah staying off the site now, like to use it to see whos in the upcoming races, but will leave it now, and yeah, no good on the in play either was hoping they would catch up, there was a delay as well
  13. how frustrating they are showing it with a 5 minute delay, svemo is updating the scores before we even see the race
  14. 1 #108 Tai Woffinden 2 #45 Greg Hancock 3 #3 Nicki Pedersen 4 #55 Matej Zagar 5 #88 Niels-Kristian Iversen 6 #23 Chris Holder 7#69 Jason Doyle 8 #71 Maciej Janowski If we assume the top 8 are as it stands now, and we already know Harris Pawlicki and Zmarslik make it up to 11, that leaves from this years 9 #52 Michael Jepsen Jensen 10 #19 Peter Kildemand 11 #100 Andreas Jonsson 12 #75 Troy Batchelor 13 #37 Chris Harris 14 #30 Tomas H. Jonasson 15 #33 Jaroslaw Hampel 16 #507 Krzysztof Kasprzak I think you have to give Lindback one for winning the Swedish title, I think Kildermand deserves one for the way he has performed in this years series. that would mean 2 places left, It would be great if Emil said yes, but we know he probably won't, personally I would not give it to AJ, just because there is only 1 Swede in the series, you can bet your life they wouldn't have given a Brit a space had Harris not got through the qualifier, I like AJ, but he is boring in the GPs, never a real threat, and should have qualified like Harris had to if he wants to remain, I would give 1 to Hampel, it may mean there are a lot of poles in the series, but they are the best and that leaves 1 place I would like to see the best riders riding, if Laguta and Saifutdinov both say no, then I would go for either Dudek, Vaculik , Jepsen Jensen or even Mikkelsen, but please no AJ or THJ just to make the quotas up
  15. A.J -I would love Premier league speedway next year, and would have no problem at all in accomodating Ayres, Morley and Shanes into that team as reserves/ number 2 Imagine them with someone like Boxall, Kennett, Lawson and King I know they all ride for other teams, and the averages may not fit, but one can dream, I wouldn't miss a match, we could even give Wilson Dean and Adam ellis a premier league spot I actually think Kent have missed a few tricks this year losing riders to Eastbourne that were right on our doorsteps, but Premier League speedway and a half decent side would be a massive boost and I predict supporters would return in their droves
  16. Can't agree with you there, I respect everyones opinion, and this is only mine, I think it has ruined the season for me as a spectator at Kent, Who wants to watch riders who are unable to complete 4 laps on a regular basis? and actually show no signs of improvement not just at reserve but at number 2 as well, that leaves pretty much every race so un even and predictable that its become boring Kent had to lose lambert, Mason and Compton, riders who were great to watch at this level and replace with Shepherd, Couzins and Verge/ Basford It does those guys no favours either, one in the team you can carry, not 3 It may be good for some teams who have "found" riders who can come in on a extremely low averages, but actually be heatleaders, but that won't last, next year when their averages go up and they have to fill them up with riders who are not good enough for the MDL the interest will wane like it has at kent this year I just hope Kent go premier of elite next year so I can enjoy my live speedway again
  17. Well done Kent Makes up for the 4s Brilliant stuff
  18. is this just an annual open meeting or some kind of title? wasn't sure if it was 2nd division rider championship but Dudek rides for Fabulaz
  19. I agree, would be a better meeting than most as there are no reserve races but will be amazed if it goes ahead with the predicted rain, so I'll give it a miss, unless the sun comes out
  20. No problem, i understand the rules i like to wait until the draw is done and go through the card but completely forgot until it started, and by the time i logged on it was halfway through heat 1 good luck to all that remain
  21. missed the first race so up to you if im out i'll go holder 200 more
  22. Was that him after heat 15 at kent tonight?
