  1. So what are those comments for those of us who don't read the Star?
  2. It is a stupid rule. An EL team can only have 2 doubling up riders (well 4 as reserves dont count). But a PL team can have 7!
  3. Yeah right. Like all them riders who have had them the last few years have been elgible. Why are you struggling to grasp that all this crap kicked off because riders were riding illegally before. So just having a visa or a team place DOES NOT means it right. Your continued inability to accept that fact is pathetic. All I have said all along is I don't see how Kozza Smith is eligible for a work permit. I stand by that, I still don't know how he's eligible. Yet you guys seem to be trying to point score but are unable to answer how he is eligible. Try growing up, you';re being pathetic. The basic rule of forums is to attack posts, not posters and you're failing miserably with that one. And I'm not missing the irony of this post in calling people pathetic.
  4. But thats the new rules. If we use the new rules Manzares gets in but not Proctor. If we use the old rules Proctor gets in but not Manzares. Just typical of the utter confusion that the powers that be like to run the sport with.
  5. That makes some sense tbf. But if we're using the old criteria and not the new one, it leads me to question how Manzares has a permit. You can't have it both ways. Once again, speedway, consistency and transparency being shown up!
  6. Worrall isn't an option as Coventry already have 2 doubling up riders (which is stupid as both have to put Coventry first anyway so it's not like we'd have loads of riders missing if we signed another). And Worrall rides for Somerset, a Friday club like Coventry.
  7. Some of us got 300/1 in 2010!! Won £4000
  8. All those who said Auty would struggle because he can't gate are looking silly now!
  9. Joseq7. I'm waiting, how does Kozza qualify for a work permit?
  10. Someone posted at 6.11, to expect me to reply by 6.45 was pushing it. I stand by the fact, I don't see how he has got a work permit. And so far nobody has been able to explain how. So despite all the "nerh nerg nerh" posts, none of your have been able to answer how he has a work permit have you? I love how everyone is mocking myself and najjer but lets not forget why this blew up, it's because the promoters themselves didn't know and got it wrong!! You all seem to be forgetting we were spot on about Campton and Poole though. That means we had Campton and Poole right and it looks like we have Smith wrong. Lets see about Alex Davies then!
  11. 2006 he had a poor year but struggled with injury. Averaged less than 4. Then in 2007 he come back and was scoring well again, he beat Nicki and Bjarne (then at the height of his scoring) in consecutive weeks. Looked to be back to where he was pre-injury then Oxford folded and he was dropped and replaced by Johno.
  12. Sidney has seen things most of us cannot imagine! Risagers gating was brilliant. Risager spent the whole season in the 1-5. I don't think thats too difficult a prediction to make though. Risagers has turned into a huge anti-climax, a massive disappointment. To beat Risager doesn't mean Lambert will be great, just not as rubbish.
  13. I think all we've managed to show so far is what a rider is like at 15-18 means nothing compared to what they may have achieved by the time they have retired. One of the greatest ever Ivan Mauger was a nobody, a nothing, a irrelevant at 15-18 but I bet there not many who would not swap their careers/lives for his! By many we're talking maybe 1 or 2.
  14. He just needs to get out of them starts - because he's fast once he's in front!
  15. Must admit, I'm confused as to how Ty gets a permit but Poole doesn't. Ty doesnt meet the criteria any more than Poole.
  16. Reading was a bit $hit in most ways but for me it epitomised British Speedway. A bit crap but you loved it. Had some great memories, Newport rarely won away but I remember many wins at Reading and I don't think I ever saw Coventry lose there! And Big H on the mic was always a laugh, often abused a few of us personally on the mic I miss the place actually. And it's really frustrating to know that it's been knocked down and nothing has been built in it's place so it could still be there hosting speedway in it's own slightly naff way.
  17. Oi! He gated and lead for 1/3 of a lap, thats a Chris Harris achievement!! Has he ever out gated Greg Hancock any other time?!
  18. So why promises a statement this week or next (last week or this week) if he couldn't? And the 45 days is the current rules, the rules that are relevant say "reasonable time" so they could take another few weeks in theory.
  19. Who's he kidding? Ostergaard is a decnet heatleader but top 5 in the PL? Cook, Stead, Barker, King, Allen. Then theres Bjerre, Lawson, Tungate, Kennett, Grajczonek, Masters, Morris, Fisher and a few others too! Ulrich probably makes top 25!
  20. I suggest you look up what a discussion forum is. Nobody is "poking their nose in" on a public forum! It was suggested he was a reserve standard rider, 4.5-5.5 averages as he generally achieved would have made him a reserve standard rider would it not?
  21. So last week Darcy promised us a statement this week or next (that being last week or this week). Where is this statement? What a joke. You'd think after the moaning about the FIM delay that Darcy and his crew would be keen to show them how its done!
  22. Why? Normally I'd agree but in a challenge meeting let the other riders have track time. I think the management have called this one correctly.
  23. Like-for-like signing are allowed. So if North goes over 7 he CAN be replaced by a rider over 7 (but under Norths figure). BUT Poole couldn't redeclared back to 34 including Holder, Magic and North if they're all over 7.
  24. I know David Howe averaged 7.70 in the PL at 16 and 5.58 at 17 in the EL. Ben Howe stats suggest he wasn't ever "special" took him untl his 4th season to average 6 Clouting on 5.98 as a 17 year old but that was about as good as it got. Nicholls for 6.01 at 17 Loram average 5.08 at 16 and 7.77 and 19 Screen averaged 6.40 at 16 and by 20 was averaging 9.05 Ward averaged 6.68 at 18 in the EL.
