SCB replied to robbiec45's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
its true i passed the sign yesterday on my way down jill -
Almost opposite the station, just before it infact. NOT the car park opposite the station, AFAIK, that one closes at 10pm. The entrance is just on the roundabout on the top right and the station is in the middle of this

Well, follow the signs Get a bus/taxi would be my advice if you can't find it. Personally, I can't see the attraction of the place, nothing intresting there.

Danish Gp Wild Card And Track Reserves
SCB replied to tomazpozrl's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Just realised that day it's the Premier League pairs, we we CANNOT have a meeting anyway. -
I think you should park it outside moanys house, lets see how he copes with that when nobody gets up to answer the door as we all have hangovers.

Jills doing just that, only in my street

Doesn't matter. Mads rides on an ACU licence so British meetings take priority. The Danish Authorities have NO say over Mads, only the ACU do. If they say he has to be in Newport the day after the GP he cannot ride for Slangerup. -

Copenhagen to Newport in 12 hours should be possible. I can't see why the Danes stop there riders riding the day after, who gains from that? I thought it was 2 days before. -
See You All In Cardiff!
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I thought it was 12 noon in Sams? Well I might get a few extra hours of sleep if not. Matt's 12 and 3 sounds good to me. Who's going to Newport on the Friday? (Newport vs Glasgow) I'll be in the bar after the meeting for a drink if someone wants to pop in, it's also been suggested from there we go into town (in which case, 2 at Sams sounds better!) -
Cardiff Gp - 2nd Severn Crossing
SCB replied to Anders`'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The M4 limit is 70mph, apart from where it quite cleary stats, 50mph AFTER you come over the Severn Bridge (the newer of the 2, AFAIK, the old cross is on the M48). -

SCB replied to Anders`'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In most cases maybe but I think there's a more than valid reason to have a 50mph limit leading up to the toll booths. f-s-p, £4.80 for a car. -
Travelling From The North Or The Midlands?
SCB replied to Jay's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You mean someone has nicked the one that is nicely placed on the other side of the bridge? -
Travelling From The North Or The Midlands?
SCB replied to Jay's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The M50 WILL be closed. All you have to do is stick to the M4 and go over the bridge (it's ok, we don't charge you to get out, after all, we want to get rid of you) and then follow the signs for "M5 North(Midlands)". It's Junction 20 once over the bridge. It adds about 5-10 minutes/5-10 miles to the journey time/distance, you eventually pass the point where the M50 joins the M5. -

Well you're unlucky. Not that I am suggesting people ignore this info but this van has not got me and I have driven past it probably 50 times in the last 18 months. -

Two riders with Newport connections. I wish I was going to Denmark now! -
In 2001, as soon as the tickets was on sale we ordered them, they never arrived. We contacted various people and were eventually we could pick them up at the ticket office on the day, we arrived and they said they did not have our tickets. So my mum went off on one (she's very good at that) and got duplicate tickets. We went in and about 2 minutes later another family tried to use OUR tickets and claimed we had their seats. So my mum refused to move and we got to sit where we had originally booked back in November. Moral of the story? Shout, scream, stomp your feet and complain as much as possible.

Hazzman's Cardiff Weather Lookout
SCB replied to Hazzman's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Don't for get that Cardiff GP afternoon has it own weather. In 2002(?) it rained all Friday, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday. The only sun all weekend was when we had a glorious Saturday afternoon from about 12 until 8ish. The rain started mid meeting and where the roof was part open the straights got wet but not the bends -
Keep it as it is. Who wants to be stood on the patio of Sams Bar in the rain and when it colder in September/October? Talking about the weather, I see the forcast is good for the next 7 days, so we should have a nice weekend, AGAIN!

Now I may have translated this wrong but, are you being serious? -
Or a Welsh GP and an English GP? We can have a Welsh Wildcard then

I don't want 2 GP's at Cardiff. Part of the excitement is knowing it's an yearly thing, it would become too normal if we had 2 GP's.
