On that one, when you look at the number of GPs we have won compared to laps lead in GP finals I bet we have an amazing ratio! How often has a Brit ever lead a GP final out of the start? Harris lead his for all of about a metre, Loram in Linkoping lead for about 100-150ish metres. Dugard lead for a whole 3 laps. Woffy has won 6 GPs and I know he's passed Hancock and Zagar in finals plus gated last at Warsaw this year but lead coming out of bend 4. Sadly I can't remember Mark Lorams win in Vojens, just that he won. But I doubt he gated! Woffy has gated his way to 3 wins in Prague though. -
Only allow a facility for ACU permit holders. It can be done.

GB have been steady winners of World titles really. 1940s - 1 1950s - 3 1960s - 2 1970s - 1 1980s - 1 1990s - 1 2000s - 1 2010s - 2 Woffy coming along looks set to mess that up a bit! And could just be that "dominant rider" that comes along as wins loads for a while. I believe that with 8 different World Champions we've had more World Champions that any other nation. Sweden, Denmark, USA and Australia all have 5. Poland only have 1 more than Germany and in terms of total titles (ie not unique winners) have as many as Wales -
It's odd, the half a dozen meetings I've been to at Brandon have had crowds that most (all?) other clubs would love! One of the issue judging a crowd at Brandon is that so many people are inside in the main grandstand and the place is so large.

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
SCB replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Exactly. Same issue. The fixture list is to blame for no meetings all summer, some teams being 6 or 7 meeting ahead of another. Clashes between EL and PL double uppers and clashes with SWC, GP and SEC. Sort out the fixture list and IMO you solve a LOT of speedway problems. Now if only someone had written some software that just needed tweaking to make this work easily. Say some software that allowed all managers/promoters to log in and say what dates their club CANNOT do, what dates they want certain fixtures and dates they want a fixture but don't care who it's against. The software could then run so at no point is a team more than 2 fixture ahead (or behind) anyone else and the number of clashes are kept to a minimum (bank holidays will sadly mean there will always be some). Would help if teams were signed up by Christmas so the list could be run in early January and released to the public in mid-January. Then NO fixture changed other than because of rain off or extreme circumstances. And extreme means extreme, riders missing is NOT extreme. -
Maybe he want to be at Brandon tonight to support the Bees, again!

I've been saying for years one of speedway biggest problems is the fixture list but nobody seems to want to listen. -
6 rider teams will mean you straight away get rid of 21 positions. If you assume every EL club has 2 or 3 doubled uppers that's 20 riders. Means no need for doubling up any more. Gets rid of part of the problem with guests and r/r. What it also needs then is better fixture planning to avoid GP qualifiers, GPs and the Euros. I should be possible. Also, if the leagues are brought closer together you can have a proper cup competition for those that want it.

Nobody loves telling Stevebrum he's wrong more than me by the word enigmatic could have been made for KK! The guy scored a maximum at Lynn and failed to beat anyone at all at Swindon. When he's great he's great but he can be terrible too, sadly. Still rather him in the team than most other riders, certainly in his better seasons.

Get the referees out there to show us how's it's done. Their reactions are so great they can judge riders reactions that we'd be sure to find the next World Champion!

Just wait for someone to suggest Chris Kerr. He always used to get mentioned on these threads. And Kyle Legault got a lot of mentions too. -
Next season is the worst time to get riding Sarj. A 3.5ish average despite getting 4+ the previous two seasons. And with the leagues apparently merging/getting closer you're going to need lots of lower rider riders. Bates, Sarj and Woryna may just be a great bottom 3 in 2017. Until we know the format it's hard to say really. But as things stand is not be getting rid of any of our 1-7 yet.

Must have been the year before then.

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In the SEC. Hoping for BV but just can't quite see them doing. Wolves or Poole -
The gap was there. It went as he was going though. But then the space was there when Bogdanov moved over. Both totally 100% innocent. If ever there was an need for all 4 back at any point in a race that's it.

Nickis move there makes Hans look like an angel 😂
