So Huckenbeck replaces Iversen and Huckenbeck was replaced by r/r so Iversen was replaced by R/R? That's a 28 day ban then.

Was just about to say, theres a name from the past. A real mine of information back in the mailing list days.

HE rode here in 2014, he didn't ride here in 2015, it's not 2016 and he'll ride here. Thats One season out, not two. Also the rules state is a rider is out 3 seasons his club MAY apply for a re-assessment. Try again.

Very few would have predicted Woffy in the March of 2013 to be World Champion, so any number of riders could suddenly burst onto the scene. If Puk gets some consistency, are you really going to rule out KK who was 8 points short of a World Title two years ago? Doyle is up there and competing in almost every GP these days too. It's impossible to predict next season so no way am I predicting 5 years time

Poole Pirates Vs Kings Lynn Stars 10/08/16 Elite Lgea
SCB replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Thats not the rule. The rule says your number 8 can only replace a 1-5 rider. It's like saying, "All pregnant people are women. So all women must be pregnant" -
A few on the BSF think someone is cheating/they don't like what they're doing and they go off on one. Kings Lynn have been breaking the rules all season, they definitely broke the rules at Poole last night and nobody seems to bat an eye lid! You can be sure the next time Poole do something to try and win you'll all be on here calling them cheats though. For the record, Kings Lynn use R/R last night at number 2. Simon Lambert by average rides at number 2 (well in the 1-5 anyway), he is an EDR, EDRs can only be replaced by another EDR. Or they had to use Carl Wilkinson who would have been in reserve but that would have meant Lewis rode in the 1-5 buit he didn't, he rode in reserve. Some are saying they had a facility for Huckenbeck but Huckenbeck is only their #8, he is in effect replacing Busk-Jakobsen. I have asked a few times on twitter how Lynn have been using Huckenbeck in the 1-5 and higher averaged draft riders in reserve but all thats done is get me blocked by Kings Lynn. So much for Buster Chapmans era of transparency.

It does mean one of Wolves or Poole won't make the PO final. BV will pick Lakeside (or Swindon) now, leaving Wolves and Poole to thrash it out. I said Poole or Wolves would win the league last week bu then BV handed Wolves their backsides on a plate this week but now Wolves have made this change so I'll stick with my Wolves to win the league prediction.

Kings Lynn's teams is 100% definitely illegal tonight. I'm sure it has been most of the year but they're using r/r at number 2 for a draft rider. You can't have a facility for your number 8 FFS -
29,26,25,19 over a career? Adam Roynon rode on 24 in 2012. He was riding for Dudley (NL), Workington (PL) and Coventry (EL). Surely hard to beat that in a single season?
-
Why would anyone sign a rider who's struggling when he tends to struggle for anyone but Poole anyway so you're only going to get a rider who doesn't even have the decency to "go though the motions" half the time. Maybe if he didn't have a reputation for taking the piss so he could sign for Poole on low averages someone would sign him. Lets be honest, when Leicester sack you thats pretty much your EL career over!

Yes its a bit worn out but I bet theres not a speedway stadium that can hold as many spectators, has as many toilets, places to buy a pint or a burger and a car park as big. OK it's need a bit of tidying up but it doesn't help it's basically been abandoned in recent years as the owner knew the writing was on the wall.
-
Try losing another 5 points then!

Coventry has proper terracing all the way around apart from the home straight because it has a whopping great grandstand with seating in that every other club would kill for! At the back of that whopping great grandstand is better corperate facilities than most (do Lynn still use the fancy sheds?). Whats wrong with viewing the pits at Coventry? Coventry may be a little run down but it's easily one of, if not the best speedway stadiums in the UK in terms of facilities.

So Who Is Going To Win The El In 2016?
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's more that BV haven't really been giving anyone a thrashing at home yet - mind you, 56 vs Wolves wasn't bad! But then on the other hand I think BV have score 40 away from home in all but 1 away meeting (at Lakeside in May this season) now for what will be 2 whole years by this weekend - thats a phenomenal away record really. -
There is no relevance. Had Joonas ridden well (or just average) then Tai could have replaced Joonas on August 31st (transfer deadline day) and Joonas have ridden in the last 4 league meeting. Joonas scoring badly just means that his average has dropped so Wolves will have to act sooner. It also means Joonas will find it easier to get another team place (or a team place next year). Riders have under performed since time began when finding out theyre about to be sacked!
-
Will it costs lots? Tai will not want to go into the last 5 GPs having not ridden any other meetings. He needs meetings now, so riding every Monday (plus one Thursday) for Wolves will be ideal. Keeps him sharp for the GP series, isn't trekking all over Europe to get burnt out. Do Wolves need Woffy or does Woffy need Wolves? Or maybe a bit of both. Maybe Tai is happy to just be riding and the monetary side of things doesn't matter too much to him if it helps him in a World title. As half the meeting he'll be riding in will be play-offs and as he's a British World Champion I bet crowd surge if/when he returns. As I see it it's win/win for Woffy and Wolves. As for those barking, "it's wrong", "it's a joke", "it's not fair". Boo hoo! It's not against any rule and nobody was saying it was wrong when Woffy was averaging 7.00 for Wolves 2 seasons ago! They're now about the benefit from that season of abject failure from him and good luck to them (not too much though, I want BV to win the league)
-
Now the rumour I heard was that Tai was coming in at the end of the month. Joonas' 000 means that can't happen now. So either Woffy comes in sooner or doesn't come in at all. Joonas probably knew this, hence the 000 so he would keep his job.

It would have probably made more sense to roll out Brian Havelock! What an utterly pointless signing and one that just helps slowly kill British Speedway.
-
I was just going from memory but you're probably right about the assessed rider thing. Still gives them 2 weeks to make the change.
-
Who knows, either? But his current average is now too low to be replace by Woffy, so they have to replace him before the averages change (in the next 2 weeks) but the rules allow the BSPA to give a rider a real time average when making changes if they wish. Wolves only have 5 meeting left, 4 at home (one a double header) and one at Lynn. He might be happy with them tracks.
-
Has to happen soon or the averages won't fit. Maybe it's why Joonas was so bad tonight? Knows he's getting the sack so getting his average down?
-
Now if my maths is correct, as of tonight KK has a higher average than Freddie. And Stevebrum probably thought his night couldn't get any worse 😉
